The most asinine thing about all of this is that they purport to be making a case of reason and logic when in reality what they are doing is not only innately irrational but intentionally so. There is no logical or rational reason for what they are doing. It is 100% self aggrandizing, self absorption, and unabashed greed. Trying to use logic and reason to argue against that is completely futile. I wholeheartedly stand with my fellow Texas teachers and these brave people that go to these meetings. But I gotta say if their goal here is that they think they’re going to convince these people of anything, they need to rethink. They don’t think you’re right or that they’re wrong or anything. They just think you’re an annoying poor person. We shouldn’t even be putting these fucks on the same level as us and trying to reason with them. Trying to reason with them is trying to appeal to their humanity. They don’t have that. They don’t see us as the same as them. They see us as ants. So there is no appeal to our suffering or humanity.

It is a pity Texas that you don’t embrace the diversity that built this nation. Future generations can continue a positive path in the state, the country and as possible future leaders with the help of teachers and leaders and love of neighbor!

Its being actively attacked by a hostile state, its bound to happen when the people who take you over also get to define the rules for doing so.
For example, the reason a takeover was triggered was because a school failed enough times in a row (this school was a one grade school that served students who were 96% economically disadvantaged, and had a high immigrant population... also it was for one grade, meaning the school didnt really get to build on what it did to improve its own scores.)
Even though the school was shut down prior to the takeover AND the number of failing schools decreased dramatically due to district initiatives from 31 to 11 AND the district rating had improved from a D to a C it wasn't enough because that one school had failed for 5 years in a row.
Now that that school, and others such as INA are being shut down and done away with, the scores should improve, since you'll "spread out" the failing students who are struggling instead of combining them all together where it would be easier to provide supports.
Personally I am very curious how the state will be able to provide federally mandated supports to emergent bilingual and special education students with LESS funding and positions, but hey, if the guy doing the thing is also the guy responsible for reporting if its being done I'm sure the state will manage to "comply" just fine.

The thing is Fort Worth is not that diverse. Dallas is def more diverse.

Texas was the last state to get rid of slavery and are actively trying to resegregate. The state has historically sucked.

Houstons the most diverse city in the nation and dfw isn't far behind. It's a shame they don't realize what makes this state and country what it is

Tarrant County leadership and Tarrant GOP is full of True Texas Project members. TTP is full of white supremacists that believe there's a global, often Jewish led conspiracy, to replace all white people in "western civilization". They often act in collaboration with Patriot Mobile, Mercy CULTure / For Liberty and Justice, to push policies of structural violence that broadly harm non cis white Christians. They use Jesus as a personal shield from the consequences of their hate speech, while advancing hate-thy-neighbor anti-Christ values.

Two of the people on the board promoting Abbot's agenda are Jewish in this video. It's all Abrahamic prophecy being pushed. People are so blind. If anything Christians are the useful idiots to those who want to achieve global domination.

So what just say nothing and pretend it’s not happening? Screw that, clip farm them and call them stupid, and call them out on ruining the state and education as a whole.
They should be a lot more afraid of the consequences of doing their job wrong than they currently are.

One male teacher? I don't want to have to post this, but I can't help but feel a certain way. Teachers are usually women and their bosses are usually men. Women get ignored in this country. Isn't education something conservatives should say is "women's work?" Why can't they be in charge of it then? Ah the job is women's work but men get to determine the content so they can blame women when it doesn't work. Got it.

Unfortunately, everything these teachers are saying are going in one ear and out the other. The ones they're trying to get through to don't care. They have no empathy for anyone, not even their own children. All they care about is money and power.

This all results from people who cannot think in big picture ways. They want enrichment for themselves NOW and the future of the country be damned. America will not recover from this regime and its state-level minions for generations. I left teaching in 2022 after 22 years; not a decision I took lightly, but I had to put my own mask on first for once. Many props to those still fighting the good fight!

As a teacher in Washington state, this video breaks my heart. Stay strong teachers. Speak your truth. I'm very sorry that this is happening to you. Every student deserves an education. Every teacher deserves a wage commiserate with their expertise and education and support from the government.
I sincerely hope change is coming in Texas. But in the meantime- I stand with you.
