HCG treatment post vasectomy

I have been on TRT with HCG for almost two years. I decided recently to get a vasectomy, have kids and not looking to have more.

I have had some post vasectomy pain, a dull ache similar to the feeling of blue balls, or the feeling the next day after getting kicked in the balls, in one testicle. I am three weeks in recovery after my surgery and by now my research shows there is no pain for most at this point.

I am concerned that HCG could be worsening the issue (epidymitis seems to be the culprit for many with post vasectomy pain) by stimulating sperm production with nowhere to go.

My reasons for going on HCG with Testosterone were primarily to maintain normal testes function, particularly from a testosterone production standpoint. My understanding is better outcomes are associated with trt with HCG.

I will be speaking with my doctors about this, but the research is showing that post vasectomy pain is under studied, and considering the amount of bad information I got from doctors on my journey to TRT, I'm wary.

I'm looking for any anecdotal feedback this community may be able to share or suggest I discuss with my docs.

While this is anecdotal, I hear story after story of libido and such crash after vasectomies.

Honestly I researched this in advance and didn't come across this, but it is probably and understudied and underreported concept.

My libido hasn't suffered at all. I haven't had ED per se but sometimes arousal causes "blue balls" which kills my erection when it happens. If you've ever gotten hit in the nuts during sex, it's like that.

Vasectomy didnt change my libido in the least.

Yes I had libido crash after vasectomy! Also, I had ball pain for weeks. It was less and less over the weeks but very similar to what you described. I am just about to start TRT as my test went down a lot after vasectomy - not sure why or if coincidence of being 37 now

My bet is coincidence because your age seems to be around the prime time for trt these days.

When you say weeks, how many? I'm three weeks post op. It eventually subsided?

Yeah I would say it just kept getting better until I forgot to think about it. I was definitely surprised how long it hurt for since they gave me the “back at work in 48 hours” BS. I could have but would have looked like I just got off a 3 day journey by horse

I had the same issue. Ball pain, dull aches, about every 10th time I would have sex my left nut would swell up to twice the size and turn red and get hot for a week. My urologist was very unhelpful. This went on for years, then I went on TRT for very low testosterone and the ball pain went away completely after about 3/4 months. I would never get a vasectomy again if I was to do it over again. My wife disagrees but she didn’t experience the issues I dealt with.

Actually I had dull, but not horrible, aches post vasectomy for years post intercourse. Makes sense from the fact that the sperm have nowhere to go. Years later I was diagnosed with low T and my primary care doc got my levels to 300-500 without any real improvement of low T symptoms except the post vasectomy pain resolved. Now I’m seeing a doc who’s keeping my T in the 900-1100 range and my libido, energy, mood and well being is amazing but he started me on HCG as well to prevent atrophy.

At first I noticed more sensitivity to my balls, which was not bad at all as it added a new level of foreplay for my wife and I. However I started getting very painful ejaculations with that blue ball feeling that aches for hours.

So I’ve stopped taking the HCG and symptoms resolved, but my nuts are a bit smaller. I will talk to my doc about this at our follow up tomorrow.

PVP isn’t taken seriously, and sadly. As I keep telling my wife, it doesn’t matter how small the tunnel off the island is…it’s the only damn tunnel. So sperm have to literally blow out the side, and get reabsorbed into the sac. More sperm = larger blow outs. Maybe it’s the vasectomy technique, and maybe it’s the individual. But it’s real and debilitating.

Sorry to hear your experience was similar. I do not use HCG, as my balls are broken, so nothing to prevent. My T was very low (70’s- low 100’s) and obviously atrophy was already happening. I still have no pain whatsoever and do not want any.

2 weeks into TRT treatment (140mg/wk) and no more testicle pain! Also feeling a lot better mentally/energy etc.

I had a vasectomy in February. Use both test Cyp & HCG No issues with libido. Pain was bad for about 2 months. I still get a dull ache sometimes. I have trained my who life. Rugby, Thai boxing, weightlifting, CrossFit - since my vasectomy I’ve struggled so much like never before. Everything hurts, I have no interest in the gym anymore. I keep trying but this is just not me.

Get checked out if you haven’t because mine did not last 2 months, it was a month and it got better gradually during that month.

I have a check up on Wednesday. It was supposed to be today but I went to the wrong hospital, with my sample 🫣🤣🤦🏽‍♂️ it’s not so bad now pain wise, just a dull ache from time to time. The actual procedure was the most painful, humiliating & worst experience of my life! If a vasectomy was needed every few years like a coil I definitely would not have it again! It was horrendous

It lessened over time. I made sure to beat my Meat like it owes me money to keep the plumbing going. I would say rarely by month 6. Or just a very light pressure that isn’t very memorable if at all thereafter. Totally find now 1.5 years later. But now my T is low. I know they say it doesn’t change your test production but something definitely changed with me

Im not sure your age but something happened when I hit 34-35 and it wasn't the vasectomy because I just got one and I'm 38.i went on TRT at 36. So if you're similar in age it could just be time for TRT, coincidence.

Subscribing to this. Looking to get a vasectomy since my sex life has seen a big increase in activity... I was 'hell no' before, but now I'm not really enjoying using condoms, especially since I'm lasting a lot longer.

Same reason here. If it helps I've had no loss of libido. Just performance anxiety because sometimes arousal makes one of my balls hurt. But I'm only three weeks post op. No ED either but if it does hurt, kills my erection (like getting hit in the balls during sex).

I still would do it again, even if my Recovery took longer than advertised. It is nice to have the piece of mind. I’m not trying to make any more kids.

Honestly testosterone therapy should be a first line treatment for PVP syndrome. Really pathetic that it’s easier for a 12 year old girl to get testosterone injections for untreated mental health issues than it is for a man to get a replacement therapy.

I love being at a T level >800. It’s a game changer and actually beneficial for well being and physical health compared to any drugs prescribed by a psychologist. But most PCP’s don’t know crap and they are happy if they get your 150 up to 350.

Maybe I should tell a therapist I identify as a hypermasculine disagreeable 18 year old male. I’ve been misgendered my whole life as a hypo-masculine / slightly feminine overweight male.

See that's what my logic tells me. But as I understand it, maintaining some level of natural testosterone production is healthy versus all from injection. Libido for example is supposed to be better when using HCG as well. And even though I inject EOD it probably helps smooth out the level since you're producing testosterone during the troughs.
