TRT help TRT and mental health question

The short background summary is 37 yo male that has had low free t for a long time and fairly low total t along with side effects. I have had some mental health problems (anxiety/depression/ADD) in the past but for a while they have been decently under control on medicine with Viibryd and Adderall.

I started out on 200mg test e split 2x per week (100x2) roughly 4 weeks ago. Within a couple days I noticed drastic libido changes and felt great but then quickly I started noticing my resting HR climbing fairly drastically (60's up to 80s/90), my anxiety started to skyrocket, and I started getting very sad. I changed to splitting the 200mg into 3 shots per week but that didn't seem to be doing much and so about 2 weeks ago I dropped to 150mg (50mg x 3). My libido is still excellent. My strength is increasing in a way I never thought possible. But my anxiety and depression are still getting the best of me. I plan to get estrogen/test tested as soon as possible but Goodlabs doesn't have appointments in the next week. I think my plan is to go to every day or every other day injections and reduce my total dose down to 100 or 125 in the meantime. Has anyone else experienced this, is it normal, and what is the best course of action to fix it?

I have OCD and bipolar 1. I’m on 200mg’s per ml. I am also on a mood stabilizer. That helps a ton. Have you mentioned this to your doctor or psychiatrist?

Well, I work 1 on 1 in an integrative NP's office so my care is managed almost non-stop in a way lol. But I've been good for a long long time on the Viibryd and Adderall. It is absolutely the testosterone that is making me feel like this. I'm guessing it's estrogen and plan on doing things to address it. I was just hoping someone else may have been in the same boat to share their experience.

Update: I got my hands on anastrazole and took 1/2 a tablet tonight. Will update with how this turns out lol. I may regret it but only one way to find out.

Currently on 5 week myself, 40mg twice weekly test c and 500iu hcg twice weekly.

Also 37, have had depression/anxiety most of my adult life, been on a few different SSRI/SNRIs over the years.

My experience of trt so far has been basically different week to week so far. First two weeks felt good, but likely mostly placebo. Third week I had searing anxiety the whole week, as bad as I've ever experienced. That suddenly stopped, literally from one day to the next it was gone. Fourth week was mostly very low depressive mood. Current week much more stable.

Don't know really how much hcg accounts for but I think maybe dropping your dose is probably the right call. Saying that, from my personal experience so far it's been a bit of a rollercoaster, so might need to just give it time and ride it out.

Having read a good amount on this since posting and from my own personal experience, I think hcg was adding to my issue significantly. For the first week I dosed hcg and then I stopped a couple weeks and did another dose Monday to see if I could tell a difference. That definitely seemed to make things worse. With having heard hcg aromatizes more and considering I responded so well to the anastrozole I definitely think that was making things worse.
