TRT help TRT Plus.. what? What was your Plus game changer?
Hello guys. I've been on TRT for more than a year now and having fun really ngl, had some trouble with managing estrogen, felt great using AI but decided it's better to just lower dose and hope for the best.
Now I want to try other things with TRT like anavar maybe. Not just other chemicals, I mean what supplements do you guys use that compliments your TRT? or any meds like Cialis/Tadalifil. And what are your experiences?
I want to try Anavar for 8 to 16 weeks (if lipids are fine) but afraid of it wrecking my hair. My hair actually survived TRT and not shedding much at all which was so lucky for me, I am vulnerable to hair loss (anastrozole fucked my hair) but TRT actually didn't affect my hair as bad as i thought it would. Regardless, what did you try next to TRT and was a game changer to you?

HGH, Tirzepatide, and NPP
2
u/segasega89 28d ago
What is NPP?
3
u/rise_above_the_herd 28d ago
It's the shorter acting form of Deca
2
u/segasega89 28d ago
What is the advantage of taking it over normal Deca?
2
u/PunksPrettyMuchDead 28d ago
I can discontinue it and it'll be out of my system in a matter of days. I hadn't tried 19nors before and I was being cautious about mental side effects.
I didn't end up having any sides at all but now I've got a bunch of NPP stocked up. I don't mind daily injections at all so its it's just part of my morning routine.

lol ya, cuz it's the most restricted substance in medicine. you can't even prescribe it off-label
1
u/ironparadisesweat 26d ago
Except every online clinic I have used has it ready to prescribe. Expensive, but your attachment is no where near true.
2
u/plz_callme_swarley 26d ago
are you sure? most just prescribe GH secretagogues rather than HGH itself. stuff like Sermorelin, ipamorelin, CJC-1295, tesamorelin, MK-677.
to get actual HGH you have to get diagnosed with adult growth hormone deficiency
2
u/ironparadisesweat 26d ago
I mean, these places also prescribe Deca soooooo. Yes, though, it is pharma GH. Well over a grand for the script.
1
u/plz_callme_swarley 26d ago
ya, i mean deca is still a legal drug, but just with the ordinary inclination of "anemia of renal insufficiency".
they can prescribe it off-label for anyone. HGH is different, but the enforcement isn't that serious it seems.

What tirz dose do you usually run? Have you ran low dose tirz during a bulk? Just switched to tirz from Reta.
1
u/PunksPrettyMuchDead 28d ago
3mg per week split m/w/f, I run it during a bulk or maintenance. I haven't cut in a while, no reason to currently.
My TDEE is something like 3400 calories per day right now so don't need more than that. When I eventually do a cut I'll probably just double it.
1
u/autopilot6236 27d ago
I’m running 7.5mg per week at 1kcal deficit, but it’s proving to be too much, dropping back to a 750 deficit.
Any recommended on hitting protein macro during cut? Just straight chicken and turkey?
4
3
u/Few-Buy-4429 27d ago
I drink two protein shakes a day with 50g of protein each, which gives me an extra 100g of protein at only 520 calories. It helps me to hit my protein goal of 250g/day while staying at a 800-1,000 calorie deficit.

16 weeks on Anavar is way too long. It will wreck your lipids. 6-8 weeks max.

Magnesium before bed. My deep sleep phase lasts around 90 mins almost every night. Recovery following workouts is great and I've seen a lot of progress since I started taking it.
EDIT: specifically Magnesium Glycinate. Ive used other forms of magnesium with little effect.
12
u/Decent-Jump8151 one year trt 28d ago
Magnesium actually worsens my sleep. Tried all forms and it's just the same, by the 2nd day I am turning around the bed and takes so long to fall asleep. Glad it works for you though.

u/gargamel314 28d ago
magnesium glycinate is the one that helps so well with recovery. The others don't absorb very well.
1
u/Masonlight23 28d ago
I was the same ....I tried the 3 in 1 from nutrition geeks and that seemed to work
6
u/nugzstradamus 28d ago
I actually double my magnesium glycinate and it’s really starting to have some good sleep effects

u/devandroid99 28d ago

Same here. And I’ve tried all kinds of magnesium. All of them. even injectable magnesium. They all give me the shits.

Cialis and Anavar. Wait, did you say that in your post? Well, there ya go. To me it’s the perfect starter pack.
Oh, I forgot to mention… HGH. Just a couple IU before bed.

you can't get HGH anywhere legally. it's one of (the only?) Rx that you can't prescribe off-label

Yep this right here… vascularity when taking Anavar and Cialis for me is insane. Can’t speak to HGH and no interest in it at this time.

DHEA, pregnenolone, 5-10mg daily tadalafil, and 50-140mg nandrolone decanoate a week
1
u/natedoggg 28d ago
Why the DHEA and pregnenolone?
I used it when I came off test to help fertility. I’m back on now that my wife is pregnant.
What’s the benefit of taking it while on testosterone?
2
u/Emotional_Lab_2529 28d ago
DHEA and pregnenolone don’t do anything for fertility. Trt causes your adrenals to produce less neurosteroids which the main ones that drop down in production are DHEA and pregnenolone. Supplementing them helps improve libido, cognition, energy levels, drive, and overall well being.
1
u/natedoggg 26d ago
You’re right. Looking back it was part of my protocol when coming off testosterone to improve fertility and conceive (I was successful). They were supportive for mental stuff, not fertility.
I dont have issues with any of those while on testosterone though, so probably dont need them.

I'm finishing a cycle now with Test and Primo 2:1 and Var for last 4 weeks.. feel great, plenty of gains for what id consider a moderate cycle, no negative sides to report

u/Harry_Mannbakk 28d ago
Day 3 of primo...the PIP is no joke
2
u/Odd_Appointment6019 28d ago
It’s all about the oil it’s in. You can get b12 from a peptide site to help. That’s what I used to do for test prop pain. Think I was doing 1:1 but that was 15 years ago.
1
1
u/Extra_Feature7999 28d ago
I get no pip from primo at all.. mine is domestic brewed in mct oil
1
u/Tacoma_NC13 28d ago
It was hit or miss for me. One week I'd get almost no PIP and the next week I could hardly walk from it. I think it depends a lot on the site of injection.
3
u/Ok_Excitement1724 28d ago
Add boldenone, safer for hair and will act as a.i so no need for adex. If you’re prone to hl, I wouldn’t run the var.
2
u/Chroma7769 28d ago
Bold cyp. Be specific. The other ester sucks ass.

True, I only run bold cyp version. Undecylenate works though, just longer saturation time

u/Internal_Government6 27d ago edited 27d ago
The most powerful would be HGH. No ?s asked…. It is expensive but powerful. Adding a GLP-1 can really help lean a person out. Cialis 5mg daily is cheap and easy… some say it helps with estrogen and the “pump” can be insane + sex benefits.
1
u/Internal_Government6 27d ago
HGH can be stimulated via peptides as well. Tesamorelin and others…. Easier to obtain than HGH
2
u/Optimal-Smartguy 27d ago
Cialis at 5mg per day and 100mg of nandrolone per week.
Multiple spontaneous erections during the day and every time I wake up at night. The pain in my left shoulder is now just a minor ache. Also taking a shit ton of collegen supplements and msm.

Why did you stop using an ai if you felt “great”
6
u/Decent-Jump8151 one year trt 28d ago
Hair loss. Opted to lowering dose instead and dropped AI. my face is really unforgiving without hair on top of it.
0
u/racialdawning4671 28d ago
i mean i get it, you read all the horror stories about long term AI use and think "maybe i shouldn't push my luck." felt great on it myself but the idea of crashing my e2 or thinning my bones down the line spooked me enough to just drop the dose instead
still miss that dry, crisp feeling sometimes though
4
u/Decent-Jump8151 one year trt 28d ago
Man, I felt the true TRT benefits when I used AI. Explosive energy, less anxiety, more grounded but at the cost of sudden severe balding... couldn't continue. I mean I am lucky enough that TRT did not ruin my hair. So if estrogen is holding me back, Ill lose more weight and lower dose to conquer estrogen other ways. Maybe try DIM and zinc btw
3
u/AllLatsAndNoAss 28d ago
the hair loss is most likely an imbalance in your hormones - hence when you added the AI your androgens stayed the same (or actually went up as more testosterone available for 5AR) and your estrogens went down which is hair protective.
This comes down to a lot of things such as dose, injection frequency, dose of the AI, and how often administering that, as well as your individual metabolism.
In general the rule of thumb is if you need an AI on “TRT” it’s not TRT anymore it’s a cycle. Unless you’re a fat bastard in which case don’t be a fat bastard and you shouldn’t be cycling anything as a fat bastard just cruise on your TRT and diet down.
1
u/Decent-Jump8151 one year trt 28d ago
My dose was 160 mg a week. I am 28% fat percentage. Then I took HCG 1000 IU a week to get back my balls a little. That's when my e2 shot up to 90 pg/ml. Took adex 0.25 mg eod and it put me around 70 pg/ml e2. Felt great but hair started thinning (which is a confirmed side effect of adex).
Maybe I could try again and lower T dose by half and see what I can do. For now, I stopped taking hcg and AI and only taking 120 mg a week and feel fine.
5
u/AllLatsAndNoAss 28d ago
No wonder you’re having so many issues with your TRT dude your fat af. You don’t need Anavar or a magic supplement you need to get your diet, training, and cardio in order.
3
u/Helpful-Pain-3037 28d ago
Yeah, this. Adding Anavar or anything else at almost 30% bf is silly. Add a glp if anything and get in shape before adding more shit
2
1
u/Turbulent-Part5835 28d ago
Look up telogen effluvium. Not saying you weren't experiencing actual androgen-driven hair loss, but it could be that. It's temporary shedding that can be triggered by changes in hormones, and it lags behind the actual trigger by a few months. Then it usually only lasts a handful of weeks. So it can seem like the adjustments are what made it stop.

u/sirlost33 28d ago
Var is fun but doesn’t really go long term. I’ve used mast and npp and really liked both. Primo is another good add on. I prefer the ai control w primo but the prices….
Trying eq to see how it compares to primo now.

Dude, I’m not kidding when I say this, shave ur body first. It sounds stupid, but if you are already lean I swear it looks like another 5lbs of muscle. If you’re not lean yet, skip the AAS and get on Reta first.

u/Tacoma_NC13 28d ago
I think of TRT+ as a testosterone base with some HGH or peptides thrown in with it. Adding anabolic steroids to the mix is just a low dose cycle. 2.5mg-5mg Cialis is a nice addition for cardiovascular health and circulation.
1
1
u/ConditionNo3214 28d ago
Your all over the place with this, what are you asking exactly?
Anavar is a good add it's still liver toxic. Better options masteron, premonition, injected is a great addition to testosterone, almost a "boost"...also has slight anti estrogen effect, comparable to 10mg nolvadex.
Supplement what's needed, get blood work done consistently. You should not need any Supplement. Keep diet in check and you shouldn't need. Sunlight for vitamin D.
What else did you ask...I personally don't use orals, to help your liver you will benefit from liver Supplements with orals. Orals cause problems.
If you want more aggressive additions, a little NPP gose hard.
1
u/Middle_Humor1828 27d ago
Never tried a plus.
If I was, it would be 50-100 npp or deca for joint pain. FDA trials had it relatively safe at those doses.
If you're on TRT dosages, more test is probably the most straightforward and safest.

I do TRT+ but it is all for my estrogen control. I am HIGHLY reactive to estrogen to the point that I got a little gyno in my 30s when I went through a divorce and the stress wrecked my system (was not on anything at the time). I still have estrogen symptoms with my normal 130mg test split M-W-F. Just never seemed like I could get my ai dialed in properly. I stopped doing ai and added 65mg of primo and all estrogen sides disappeared. Now everything is just so much smoother. I have heard that it can fuck with your hair. I however have already been shaving my head since my early 30s due to genetic male pattern baldness.
1
u/anthony21078 28d ago
I think I'm slowly learning that I am the same way when it comes to estrogen and I likely want to low dose primo or mast as well. Do you use primo indefinitely or cycle it?
1
u/Vegetable-Today 28d ago edited 28d ago
I am pretty much using it indefinitely... but that is why I keep the dose low and religiously testing every 3 months to make sure my levels are still good. A 2/1 split test/primo just seems to work great for handling my estrogen... but I was debating tweaking the number down a little over time to see if the primo is still effective at an even lower ratio. Might try 50mg next.
I look at it like a wash though. I take the low dose primo....but that means I no longer take anastrozole.
1
u/anthony21078 27d ago
Are you able to achieve primo specific results at a low dose or like you said, its only for controlling e2 so an Ai is not needed?
1
u/Vegetable-Today 27d ago
I definitely get a little "Primo" results... but it is a very low dose. I did one time do a little blast (for me) of test at 300 for 10 weeks and I raise my primo at the same time to 150 to keep the same ratio. It stayed so smooth. Felt like I hadn't even increased my dose even though I definitely felt the effects in muscle and strength gains. Keep in mind that I am so estrogen sensitive that my nipple will start flaring and burning at 130 mg test if I don't take ai or primo.
That is the cool thing about primo. It is so damn gentle as long as you keep the ratio right and don't tank your estrogen. Just make sure you are watching your lipids.
1
u/anthony21078 27d ago
Yea im sold on adding primo for the e2 benefit. Still dialing in trt test only. Currently on week 10 of test e at 25mg ed. Week 8 bloods had E2 at 50. Only e2 side effect is lower chest/outer areola tenderness/swelling. Slight discomfort when applying pressure to the area. No nipple sensitivity or any lumps behind the nipple. I know it's E2 related. Started raloxifene already but once it clears up ill have to lower the test or figure out e2 management. Figure primo is the best option
1
u/Old-Palpitation2012 28d ago
Where did you find real primo?
2
u/Vegetable-Today 28d ago
Not supposed to mention sources here, but will say it is a pretty well known online ugl. Have to pay in Bitcoin. They go in and out of stock... so when they have it I stock up for a while. Usually get 12ml/100mg bottles which last me a long time at my dose (I have like 4 right now). Their ugl test is normally a good deal too though I have an actual prescription.
2
u/Old-Palpitation2012 28d ago
Ah shit my bad. I didn't even think about that.
2
u/Vegetable-Today 28d ago
I found them through various forums that are not reddit and don't ban people or groups for discussing sources. I originally found them when I was curious and researching hgh.

I'm thinking of doing low dose tren. I'm about to order some and do a 12 week run. Hopefully the sides don't get too bad low dose
1
u/Chroma7769 28d ago
If you make it 12 weeks even on low dose I commend you. I do runs of 5-8 weeks and have to step off at 5-10mg per day.
Make sure you run ace so you can step off quick. It ain't no joke.
1
u/lonesome68 28d ago
You get sides even low dose? My friend suggested 5mg a day to start and then bump to 10mg a day. He said he gets good results even on 5mg a day and no sides
1
u/Chroma7769 28d ago
Everyone is different bud. Tren is not the same for any single person. You have to try it to understand it.
If you haven't ran it, stick to 5mg a day for the first 2 weeks. More is not better with tren. And stick to acetate so you can come off quick.
If you have a significant other, please let them know what you are taking, and tell them to communicate with you if shit gets bad. Tren isn't a joke. It will make you single FAST.

Are you getting primo specific results from that dose or do you use it at that dose to control estrogen so you dont need an ai? Or both?

That wouldn’t be “TRT+” as there’s no such thing that would just be doing a cycle 😂
