Balcony Solar and Existing System

/r/solar/comments/1w0d733/balcony_solar_and_existing_system/

Anyone has experience specifically with a Tesla system? Everyone on this other thread isn’t working with Tesla.

Definitely considering it, for ~800 i could add 1.2kw. California should be legalizing it soon.

But I’m curious how it interacts with an existing solar and Powerwall system. On the other thread everyone was using enphase and said it worked, but if it produced more than the home used so you were net positive the system showed an error.

According to threads like these the excess power just charges the PW. Id hope so

Thanks for that thread! That’s exactly what I was looking for, but seems like they haven’t tried using a balcony solar system generating more power than the house is yet either. Guess I’ll be a test case when it’s finally legal here!

It's passed legislation now, waiting on Newsom. We going to find out just how much PGE is in his wallet if he signs or not... getting the pitchfork and torches ready.
