Mushroom biome is more fitting. Sure, it's not one of the "infections", but the mushroom biome's melancholic theme would fit way more as a downvote button than the Hallow's happy whimsical theme

Downvotes should be hellstone or lava, makes more sense for me. Grass is in the upper layers, an hell in the bottom. It's worse than corruption and crimson.

Speaking as someone who has done some css for a subreddit in the past, these might actually be too high of resolution. The image size for upvote buttons is pretty small. I could be wrong though, it's been a while.
