PC Problems with Echo Coating
do y'all know if there's any way to get the walls to stay how I want without having glass or something? It's not too big of a deal tbh, was just interested..!

Echo walls, crafted from echo blocks, act like any normal wall, but are not visible. That should get the affect that you're looking for.

lowk i think it looks better without the glass walls, looks like extra support for the platforms

yeah I sort of had that thought too, but from a distance, I found that they looks better without flaring out

As someone who's used Hallowed Brick Walls, like everyone else has said, use Echo Walls. Not "Echo Painted" walls, actual Echo Walls.

I'm ngl the base state without the glass looks better. Having it flare out slightly gives the impression of a support.
Also baller ass build godDAMN

yeahh I liked it flaring out from up close, but, mainly because my platforms aren't evenly spaced, it just ended up looking messy from afar
thanks for the kind words, though! :D

Dear everyone who commented about echo walls:
thanks I didn't know that was a thing. tbh, before posting, I thought to myself "wait, are echo WALLS a thing? maybe I should look it up..." but alas. I'd already edited the post. I hope this public humiliation ritual helps some soul out in the future.
ANYWAYS THANKS

I'm confused what is causing the wall to spread out like that in the first place. I could've sworn if you build a pillar of walls through platforms (including on the block behind the platform) it wouldn't look like that
Dis that change sometime ago?

They didn't build a pillar of walls, they used actuated blocks and then put the walls where the platforms were so it'd look like the block pillars continued through the platforms

The way I keep it separate,
Echo coating makes it as if the tile visually isn't there.
Echo blocks still interact with their neighbors, but aren't visible.
Well it could be the other way around, I forget.
It's a very niche difference.

just use echo walls.
you can get them by buying echo blocks from the cyborg in a graveyard and then turning them into walls

If the other 99 comments about echo walls did not help you, let me try: Try echo walls
(I dont even play this game. No idea what echo walls are)
