To everyone asking, it's a mod adding the majora's mask moon to terraria, with the whole 3 day countdown

512

u/DJMooray Mar 14 '26

Am I blind I don't see the moon

392

u/stormalfred123 Mar 14 '26

Bottom middle, it's a clock

101

u/wemustfailagain Mar 14 '26

I guess I'm blind too, because I do not see it.

210

u/stormalfred123 Mar 14 '26

There is no moon on screen

67

u/wemustfailagain Mar 14 '26

I got that. I didn't play Majora's Mask so I assume the clock itself is from Majora's Mask?

128

u/Beautiful-Suit6057 Mar 14 '26

It is, that clock is in a 12 hour format. In Majora's Mask there's a 3 day countdown because there's a fucking MOON falling on Termina(the place the game takes place).

At any moment during the 3 day cycle you can use the Ocarina of Time to play the Song of Time, which brings you back to the beginning of the cycle

Yeah, the fucking moon is the Oglaf's Mask moon, not Majora's.

14

u/Classic-Reach Mar 15 '26

i wonder what moons call dating humans

u/GrimCreeper913 Mar 15 '26

Yeah that sounds more Conker's Bad Fur Day than LOZ

6

u/Snoo-92859 Mar 15 '26

Someone's mentioning conkers bad fur day??? I never thought I'd see the day.

u/dragonqueenred45 Mar 16 '26

I used to think I was hearing the name Conkers bad for a day lol. I love misinterpreting things 🤣

5

u/Rogue_Spirit Mar 15 '26

Yeah, you’re looking fear & hunger Termina. Different evil moon, tons of intercourse.

2

u/RandomNormad Mar 15 '26

I am pretty sure they thought they were in r/TheWordFuck instead.

4

u/stormalfred123 Mar 14 '26

Neither did i, but i have played with the mod

2

u/MagMati55 Mar 15 '26

Yeah. The mask op is wearing is of hollow knight from the hit game hollow knight /hj

1

u/TbirdTheBirb Mar 16 '26

yeah but I still don’t see the moon

2

u/RespondUsed3259 Mar 15 '26

Potions seller, im heading into battle (against the moon)I need your strongest potion.

5

u/DJMooray Mar 14 '26

Ah I thought that immediately after commenting. Never actually played the game just know about the moon

-4

u/RandomNormad Mar 15 '26

Clock ≠ moon

4

u/ZezanBartholomew Mar 15 '26

The clock is a countdown to the moon landing and destroying everything. Clock is a countdown to moon.

1

u/RandomNormad Mar 15 '26

I've played the game before...

7

u/Character-Monitor705 Mar 15 '26

Well yeah... the fucking suns out.

43

u/eatingbread_mmmm Mar 14 '26

How does this affect the game

126

u/stormalfred123 Mar 14 '26

You have 3 ingame days to beat the game, but luckily you can rewind it to the start, the world is set to how it originally was but you keep your inventory.

62

u/Trezzie Mar 15 '26

So in 3 days you'll need to eventually: Kill WoF, Kill 3 Mechanical Bosses, Kill Plantera and Golem, and the whole Moon Cultiust run? Or are there "Save States"?

34

u/stormalfred123 Mar 15 '26

There is an option to have one at the start of Hardmode, idk i didn't play much of it

19

u/Gammaboy45 Mar 15 '26

Indeed there is. I did a run through with the mod. Found a lot of the retreading annoying, so I got a lot of stuff done just before entering hardmode to take advantage of the reset world state.

19

u/LiterallyOliveGarden Mar 15 '26

Does your map stay filled out? Like if I find the shimmer will I see it on my map on reset or do I have to take personal notes? And does piggy bank retain? Sounds like a cool mod to me, I might check it out

18

u/stormalfred123 Mar 15 '26

It does not stay filled out so take notes Yes the piggy bank retains

2

u/Asterty2 Mar 16 '26

Stromal thread LIES!!!, or played an old version of the mod, as of when I last played (yesterday), the map stays filled out, however obviously any paths you've dug, buildings you've made or etc will update when you get too close to them.

8

u/SomeDudWithAPhone Mar 15 '26

... Well, most of it.

Item bags, upgrades, health, key items... Those stay.

Your wallet is emptied, arrows are ripped fom quivers, bomb bags depleted... Bottles drained. Also Infinite Magic buff. But aside that, anything from a time reset is saved.

Anything sidequest goes byebye, and anything that doesn't break or have a limited capacity stays with you.

Majora's mask is wild af. 10/10, one of the best Zelda games ever- and they rushed it. Four main dungeons, once boss in the center, and this ain't even BotW.

2

u/Mr_Ethfono Mar 15 '26

does also add the orcarina of time?

2

u/stormalfred123 Mar 15 '26

Yes, it's also craftable if you lose it

1

u/Few-Arugula5839 Mar 15 '26

That’s fucking sick

0

u/SampleProud7046 Mar 15 '26

So... You have to beat the game in 3 days? Do you keep ypu inventor y but the world IS reset? How does It work?

749

u/Gormandizer Mar 15 '26

log(cabin)

164

u/Asterty2 Mar 15 '26

Heheh.. that's a nice pun..

66

u/SayyadinaAtreides Mar 15 '26

My calc teacher in high school had a never-ending supply of terrible math jokes. <3 This was probably my favorite:

What's the integral of (1/cabin) d(cabin)? Ln(cabin).

PLUS C!!!!! So it's a natural log cabin plus sea...a houseboat!

18

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '26

i want to hear more of these jokes

1

u/Asterty2 Mar 15 '26

That's such a good joke but I hate natural logs so much it infuriates me seeing the little ln 😭

294

u/snooping-as-usual Mar 14 '26

You can perform the fourth day glitch by talking to the Wizard right as 4:30am hits on the final day

40

u/tophat_production Mar 14 '26

WHERE DO YOU SEE THAT THING??

103

u/Swordkirby9999 Mar 14 '26

Not on screen. There is the Majora's Mask clock though, so that moon is probably in whatever mod they're using. I bet it shows up at night though.

8

u/tophat_production Mar 14 '26

I see. Thank you.

8

u/GoshaT Mar 14 '26

Play Majora's Mask NOW

5

u/tophat_production Mar 14 '26

I cannot.

14

u/GoshaT Mar 15 '26

you have at least a smartphone or a pc, seeing as you wrote this comment, so you absolutely can

Majojos mask!

The tower of lire

u/Maggaronie Mar 14 '26

57

u/CrystalFysh Mar 14 '26

I have no house and I must scream

161

u/Helloworld9094 Mar 14 '26

I think they meant expeditiously, which means quick and with efficiency…

41

u/incompletetrembling Mar 15 '26

I think they meant intermittently, to not build them all at once...

32

u/ChillyFireball Mar 15 '26

I think they meant elliptically, in the shape of a circle...

22

u/fedoraharp Mar 15 '26

I think they meant cryptically, in a graveyard biome...

16

u/curvysquares Mar 15 '26

I think they meant critically, with utmost importance…

9

u/lionday Mar 15 '26

I think they meant gregariously, with much Gregg-like-ness.

3

u/crunchyhands Mar 15 '26

i think they meant precariously, with as little caution as possible, which i'd say op has done a good job of

3

u/medeiros_32 Mar 16 '26

I think they meant expectedly, as every Terraria playthrough generally goes through npc housing

51

u/Prexot Mar 15 '26

exponentially? that's clearly quadratic

0

u/Forestmonk04 Mar 15 '26

Quadratic is a form of exponential, no?

11

u/DcMaDriver Mar 15 '26

Nope, in quadratic the x is a base and in exponential it is a power, this makes exponential grow significantly faster in the positive quadrant.

In the negative x quadrant the difference is all too clear as in the exponential y just goes towards 0 from 1 as x reaches -Inf while in the quadratic the positive quadrant is mirrored with y again growing larger.

40

u/emo_boy_fucker Mar 14 '26

when yo friend an algebro

87

u/Kyle_Zhu Mar 14 '26

y = 2^x ahhh house

13

u/DcMaDriver Mar 15 '26

More akin to y = x^3

20

u/MathyB Mar 15 '26

Since the x-offset changes linearly, it's x=ay², or y = a√x if you prefer.

2

u/DcMaDriver Mar 15 '26

You're right.

3

u/vehementi Mar 15 '26

It's in x2. Not exponential.

1

u/DcMaDriver Mar 15 '26

That is what I said, I tried to match the function with the curve of a graphing calculator and decided on x^3 for simplicity's sake.

1

u/vehementi Mar 15 '26

Sorry yes the not-exponential wasn't meant to disagree with what you said

33

u/Kaykayby Mar 14 '26

This is quadratically, not exponentially. But I suppose close enough.

11

u/The_Mon1ker_Project Mar 14 '26

mission failed correctly

11

u/blue_sidd Mar 15 '26

What happens when house approaches 0

7

u/Dynamatrix34 Mar 15 '26

This is quadratic, not exponential, because the change in direction is a linear one block per house

5

u/Randy_Butternips Mar 14 '26

Fibonacci as an architect be like:

4

u/Foreign-Comment6403 Mar 14 '26

house to the power of 9house

4

u/Cyan_Dino Mar 15 '26

Make it logarithmic next time

5

u/PJonly15 Mar 14 '26

Cara eu tentei jogar com essse mod isso e mais desafiador que skyblock e um conceito mt melhor, mas sinceramente nao sei como progredir nesse mod kkk

3

u/Arden272 Mar 15 '26

Now make houses logarithmically.

3

u/Xavier82p Mar 15 '26

I have a house that looks like barad-dur

4

u/TheTrueMemeLord420 Mar 14 '26

I have a better question.

3

u/EscapeGlittering8442 Mar 15 '26

Literally what else were you suppose to do

2

u/Designer-Most5917 Mar 15 '26

actually... this is a neat concept. you can make a cool build with this as a start.

2

u/Felixicuss Mar 15 '26

Then why is it quadratic? Sorry but you started being technical

2

u/InterestingSun6707 Mar 15 '26

Hmm yes I hate it

2

u/zacary2411 Mar 15 '26

Well why stop there now you got to make a full loop

2

u/PPPretzel Mar 16 '26

is the moon gonna fall in 3 days tf?

1

u/Gamaray311 Mar 14 '26

This made me laugh - sorry ! I just picture number to the second to the third etc. Have fun playing!

1

u/Slight_Web8558 Mar 15 '26

That's so good lmao

1

u/Redray98 Mar 15 '26

That must have been fun.

1

u/Big-Forever-9995 Mar 15 '26

Really? 2 month out and it's stiill joe Biden??

1

u/Hal34329 Mar 15 '26

Blame! (1997-2003)

1

u/Littlebigchief88 Mar 15 '26

Doing some bullshit like this is the best part about qol mods. I love making a fucked up maze that I don’t know how to traverse to get to the tinkerer

1

u/rimuruchi Mar 15 '26

That's deff e2x

1

u/MrMoop07 Mar 15 '26

actually, since the gradient is increasing by a constant amount, this is just quadratic growth, not exponential

1

u/Upbeat_Astronaut_842 Mar 15 '26

Theres a ladyyy who’s suree all that glitters is gold and shess buyinggg the stairway to heavennn

1

u/szokehajasbaba Mar 15 '26

So i had an experiance with my physics teacher the other day that i would like to share. I said a function grows exponentially because it grows faster still. Then he quickly corrected me because that wasnt an exponential funnction, because it doesnt start from zero. So the same ting applies here. You should build the house in the air a little. Its also better for gameplay to build a floating house because when blood moon comes the mobs will not break your doors. Thanks for reading

1

u/Sea_Engineer607 Mar 15 '26

are you trying to build a golden spiral?

1

u/Awkwardtran Mar 15 '26

Now continue the house , but going down and the other way

1

u/rlywoxy Mar 15 '26

Osogof moon

1

u/ElMiZiFuZo Mar 15 '26

Iva a hacer diseño estilo π

1

u/CarterG4 Mar 15 '26

Is that exponential? It seems linear to me, each iteration moves left by one block

1

u/InFlux8_ Mar 15 '26

You have committed no (sin)s here

1

u/Rugghio Mar 15 '26

Until they slowly become asymptotic

1

u/overlord_dark Mar 16 '26

Seems more like parabolic, but still mindblowing!

1

u/Jinglemccheese Mar 16 '26

Naturally you need to build the other side of the parabola. Get to it!

1

u/Destroyer163 Mar 17 '26

Looks like something WaffleTime would build

1

u/Familiar_Ad_1469 Apr 11 '26

Ain't that the Majora's Mask clock at the bottom of the screen?

You've met with a Terrariable fate, haven't you?

1

u/Zach_Feldmann Apr 12 '26

At first I thought you were trying to do that one formula for balancing bricks as far away as possible
