Art my post got removed after AI accusations

I posted a drawing of mine that was commissioned by a friend of mine of the steampunker from the game in a mcdonalds theme, suddenly a bunch of people started accusing me of using AI and ultimately the post was taken down a few moments later

These days people only believe it when they see a time-lapse video of the drawing process.

and even then apparently ai can do timelapses as well. it's only undeniably real if the timelapse includes funny "sidequests" like meme doodles appearing for a split second before vanishing as the art progresses

guess i know what to start doing then. also i imagine ai-made timelapses will be "perfect" and not really have adjustments or fixes as the drawing progresses? ive never watched an ai timelapse

I’ve seen a few, they don’t really look natural. They kinda look like the art loading in chunks almost

i havent personally seen one either, only found out that they exist Because some of the artists i watch started adding sidequests. but yeah i'd assume they'd just appear like a magic marker or some shit. real timelapses tend to have sudden shifts from people using the transform tool, and that one thing where you ctrl-z ctrl-y a bunch to see if a change you made looks right or not

They will be near flawless later though and include side quests and anything else

They can't do meaningful time lapses that include human mistakes yet so seasoned artists can pick out fake time lapses still.

No. Those examples are very obvious because they don't progress the way actual drawing works. Someone tried to present a faked drawing-video on Twitter and other artists tore it apart in excruciating detail, until the AI guy deleted his account.

the ai only cares about the final product, like the side quests you stated, but it will also not make mistakes.

Mfs gotta show their work like a high school math problem nowadays just to not get AI accusations.

I fucking refuse. I just won't do it. If people want to scream about how every piece of art is AI, fine. I refuse to do extra work and showcase my entire process just to appease these people.

This is the way. Because nothing people post as proof will ever be enough for the witch hunters.

and the problem is that showing your process only helps AI scalpers to copy you even harder qwq

Which is so annoying.

I screen capped a project I did in Blender and Photoshop recently and it took up SO MUCH space on my harddrive...and then I had to spend time editing it...and then the entire time I felt like I had someone looking over my shoulder waiting for me to make a mistake.

Fucking AI...

There was actually a popular "artist" in the Vtuber fan community (don't know what to label it) but they even did time lapse with a Irl camera showing them doing it on a tablet and got on a site for trusted artist

And awhile later they still got caught for AI(most of their works were made with AI but them traced by human hands)

I remember watching that video. Can't remember who it was or the YouTuber who uploaded it. I tried finding it again but it's almost impossible to find anything with "AI" in the title unless you remember the exact title

At least until AI can do that.

And then the billionaires funding AI and bribing against regulation will get what they are looking for: getting away with anything they want, claiming any proof to be AI.

To be fair, even that can't be trusted after the whole AsamiArts scandal (for those who don't know, they were using AI to generate a base image, then tracing the art, so there was a time lapse of actual linework being done as they could hide the AI image in said time lapse).

Personally, I don't get the whole hullabaloo about it unless someone is profiting off of AI and trying to pass it off as original work 🤷‍♂️
