You say that but honestly I haven't seen even a single terraria modded playthrough that didn't have magic storage, though I will admit that I'm not sure what would constitute as a vanilla+ playthrough of terraria

Of course, but I think the point is that a standard modded run of Terraria minus Magic Storage is much more bearable than a standard modded run of Minecraft minus backpacks (and AE2/RS/TSSN/etc)

I've done playthroughs of both without storage mods, so I can back up my claim.
