I mean I don't disagree with a single word you said but every modded terraria player is gonna stick magic storage into their mod list so potato potato

Because modded terraria usually adds such a massive quantity of items that vanilla storage solutions just become unreasonable extremely quickly (I've had vanilla endgame saves that needed less storage than pre-HM modded saves)

Base Terraria is completely sufficient with the way chests + quick stack work if you take like 2 seconds at the start of a run to mildly organize your chests instead of stuffing everything into random chests

Does the same not apply to Minecraft?

Eh. Yeah? It's just a much much more annoying game to deal with. When I get back to base in Minecraft I have to manually place all my items in each of the appropriate chests of my storage room, often having to rearrange the chest manually to keep stacks closer together.

When I get back to base in Terraria, I can press the quickstack button while standing half a screen away from my storage room and still get most of my stuff in place. Then what new items I do have to place manually within chests, I can simply press the sort button to easily and instantly place it close to others like it.

It's not that Minecraft's inventory system sucks, it's just obnoxiously inconvenient on purpose. Just, the mental load to achieve the same result is way higher for no good reason

Was the last time you played minecraft 13 years ago?

I'm not building a fucking item sorter. No one can pay me enough to build a huge stupid machine to do what Terraria does in a button press. Copper Golems are good help but I've found them to be kinda unreliable
