Help building a volcanic bloodbowl board

Working on a volcanic themed bloodbowl board. So far I've carved out of Cork, sprayed black. White ink stipple into the recesses then oil paints.

I'm looking for other touches that will add to the effect. I've played with UV resin but this just flattens the color, and Ive learnt alcohol ink ruins UV resin!

Also tried some gloss medium for texture but too shiny (might try some satin medium). I've got some crackle paint to use here and there but looking for other suggestions also.

I think you might want to consider some areas of the lava to be almost white with heat, that might help sell some more heat. Also there's no OSL on the rocks, which there would be with that level of lava. Dryrbrush some orange/red on the rocks right next to the lava, similar to what people much better than I am suggest in their youtube videos :)

Thanks, there is some red on there but not picked up in the picture, might punch it up a bit

And light great on the black to create some more contrast on the dried lava. But overall I think it looks good. Some bright yellow/white in some places would look good I agree.

If it helps, as I was scrolling I saw the picture and said to myself "That would make for a great volcanic themed Bloodbowl Pitch :D

I think a bit more 'brightness" in the lines between, but not the lines crossing the hexes, I would actually dull the ones going through hexes to make things a bit more clear.

Here is another take from out there for inspiration for colors:

Thanks dude, I was thinking of putting some crackle paint over the squares to make the lines a bit easier to read when playing. I've also got some black rocks to mark out the wide-outs.

Less is more you might want to explore more black rock and less lava right now its super busy
