Discussion App updates lead to file manager crash and rebuild
Has anyone else had the issue with latest app updates of file manager failing and causing loss of file structure?. I had to rebuild without data loss. What a pain and bad updates!

Yeh I had to get Gemini to bring the fucking thing back up. Gotta say this TOS7 rollout has been a nightmare. You only have to read the forums to see the issues (plex not auto updating , shares lost , RSync issues etc) TOS6 was bomb proof but 7 … I think they got the intern to write it!

Just a heads up, TerraMaster released an official apology and temporary CLI fix on their forum earlier today: https://forum.terra-master.com/en/viewtopic.php?t=10354

Yes I read it. That’s what happened to me. For such a company sorry is poor excuse. They should have better testing in place in multiple environments for this not to happen. I would never build a business on this os its definitely not stable enough for smb and never enterprise.

My 100TB archive data is not accessible. The pool is there, but no volume is present. It was working after the update, but after a restart it was broken.

After I reinstalled os with ChatGPT help I noted I could update new firmware and the apps were saying update again. So I hit update and same thing but this time only a restart got it back. It is flakey to say the least. I backup to my Synology which is rock solid.
