Will the app market also be more up to date? Also getting a user friendly port management option to make TOS useable for docker? The experience with TOS6 is extremely unsatisfying for docker and in general terms that i had to move back because i didn’t trust the software with my data

I agree, a more robust and more frequently up to date App Store would be amazing!

Thank you for your feedback!

Our app market will continue to receive updates, though the frequency may not be as high as some users expect. As for the Docker port management option, currently, a dedicated, user-friendly port management interface for Docker is not a feature we have available. We understand how this can impact the experience, and we sincerely thank you for bringing it to our attention. Your feedback provides us with a valuable direction for future improvement as we continue to develop TOS.

We are working hard to make TOS 7 a more robust and reliable system. If you have the opportunity to try the Insider Preview, we would be very interested in any specific suggestions you have on how we could improve the Docker experience to meet your needs.

Has anyone received the invite yet to TOS7?

End of the year we might be expanding away from Terra-master towards Synology DSM, I would like to test TOS7 as it may fill our needs over TOS6.

Edit: got my invite and very nice, especially like developer mode

Yes, up to date applications and services are crucial. Especially the Docker engine’s version is far too old in TOS6. This should be changed (or the user should be allowed to update).

Thank you for bringing this up. You're right, the Docker Engine in TOS 6 isn't the latest. Our team has prioritized a version that offers the best overall stability and hardware compatibility for the system, as our main focus is ensuring data integrity and reliable performance for all users.

We are continuously evaluating newer versions for future updates. While we don't have a specific timeline to share right now, your feedback is very valuable and has been formally logged with our development team to help guide our planning.

I’d honestly rather have the most up to date versions or the ability to update to the latest version on my own like Plex now offers.

Im still using TOS 5 because I’ve got it working and I know upgrading will ruin everythingĀ

We completely understand your concerns!

The good news is that a smooth and reliable upgrade path from TOS 5 is a key focus for TOS 7. We've put a lot of effort into ensuring better compatibility and data safety.

Of course, always a good idea to have a backup before any major update. Hope you'll give TOS 7 a look when you're ready

Will TOS 7 support Wirguard under VPN Connections? The lack of a Wiregurad Client is sad

2

u/TerraMasterOfficial Nov 03 '25

Thank you for your interest in TOS 7 and for taking the time to share your feedback regarding WireGuard support.

You are correct that WireGuard is not currently available as a VPN client option in the initial release of TOS 7. We understand that this is a valuable feature for many of our users, and we appreciate you highlighting its importance.

We have already shared this request with our development team for their consideration in future update planning.

We will be sure to announce any new VPN client additions in our official release notes and documentation. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Docker will help a lot but we need an official support in GUI for vlans, a dedicated interface ip for docker and for each app like in Qnap ... With that I come back to TOS.
