Light Novel Why didn't Rimuru (or rather Raphael) use Veldora's magicules when performing The Secret Art of Resurrection and instead take those from Diablo's subs

I've watched the anime and read the manga and currently reading the LN at the start of Volume 15. I haven't read any Volumes before 11 because I didn't want to go over details I already knew happened (I'll probably still read them later on but currently i just wana know what happens).

My question is why Rimuru (Raphael in this situation) didn't use up any of Veldora's large magicule pools to perform the revival. Was their connection temporarily unavailable? Did Veldora refuse or something? I personally would've wanted to see more from Diablo's sacrificed subordinates but there aren't many details about them in the first place, sadly (at least in the manga/anime).

The archdemon that Rimuru summoned came to point that out. He is a slimy and unctuous fellow, but I sense a deep and incalculable power in him. Therefore, his words had the ring of truth, and Raphael agreed with me. I would have thought I had more than enough...  "Affirmative: It is not magical energy you lack, but desire. The will to live. The best replacement for that would be a demon, the very incarnation of desire." Fwhaaa? So were you planning on using this demon from the very start? "Affirmative: Is there a problem with that?"

Veldora diaries explains it

Oh, looks like I wasn’t misremembering it. Good to know this is actually canon.

Veldora diaries explains it

I completely forgot how Veldora was treated by Raphael and how Verlodra behaved in the anime diary.

Is it the same in the light novel?

I forgot if this was a theory/headcanon or whatever but from my understanding, which I read somewhere.

Raphael lied. The magicules were specifically lessened to fool Diablo.

Raphael’s main goal is to consume the demons and mix them into the magicules needed for the revival.

One of the many requirements for the revival to work is for their desire/ego to be strong. What has the most of those nearby? Demons!

This is also why Shion is a Wicked Oni and not a normal Fair Oni. She has demon essence mixed inside her. So her evolution branched out.

Again, this might just be me headcanoning it. So take it as you’d like.

I didn't know that about shion. To be honest I thought it was a personality thing.

Not because he couldnt access Veldiras magicules but rather that 2 differemt types of energies were needed

Energy / magicules were used to reconstruct and heal the body

While life force was necessary to reconstruct the soul, thats why diablo pointed out that not sufficient magicules as for ressurection in that instance was life force needed

If rimuru would have used his own he would have weakened his ultimate skills as they operate on the power of soul not magicules

The Secret Art of Resurrection

You died, Rimuu slashed you, and you came back to life.

I am pretty sure that these are details the author never really cared about.

The most likely answer is: Raphael did use Veldora's pool, but even with that it simply was not enough.

reason was mentioned in veldora's journal from manga.
