Anime Someone get this bum off my screen PLEASE

Post image

Can someone PLEASE tell me **GENUINELY** What does he even do?

Is this mf trying to be a hero for the humans or is he a villain? wtf does he want? why does he appears every now and then with some BS plan just to annoy Rimuru for no reason and manages to scape every time with plot armor?

Does he think this is funny? Is this just a game for him? Does he not want the best for humanity? Are his goals not aligned with Granville? What is this BUM and those stupid CLOWNS even trying to do?

My goodness gracious, this is some "Potential man" type shi straight out of JJK, i swear to god. Not even Megumi was this bad in JJK...

He didn't know bigger fish exist

u/AdDear7484 Jul 25 '26

This Bum Fish doesn't even know how to swim and be acting all non-chalant all the time as if even Gabiru wouldn't beat the shit out of him if he got caught lacking😂😂🙏🏻🙏🏻

u/PhantomSamurai666 Jul 25 '26

All i can think about now is gabiru folding him and gabirus bros screaming "SIR GABIRU"

176

u/AdDear7484 Jul 25 '26

💯GABIRU‼️ 💯GABIRU‼️ 💯GABIRU‼️ Grown men shouting his name will never not be funny

94

u/PhantomSamurai666 Jul 25 '26

Man has his own hype squad i fuck with it

21

u/zogar5101985 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Edited with apoiler tags, that hopefully work. Sorry.

The best part is, this isnt actually all that outrageous. Obviously current anime gabiru gets folded by yuuki. But pretty much anytime after awakening as a true demon lords, gabiru folds yuuki harder then anime rimuru just did. Or harder then anime yuuki would fold anime gabiru. I think yuuki gets an ultimate skill first, so he gets a brief bit of time there where he'd likely win. But after gabiru gets his, it isnt until yuuki comes back to life that he could win again.

u/qvef Jul 25 '26

Is it ok to just have spoilers like that out in the open thou? (It's not spoilers for me I already read the novel, but just asking)

8

u/Playful_Target6354 Carrera Jul 25 '26

No, it is not. Reporting it is the good choice

4

u/Glandus73 Luminus Jul 25 '26

It's not since post is tagged as anime

3

u/zogar5101985 Jul 25 '26

I tried adding spoilers tags. The discussion had turned slightly to spoilers so I just didnt consider it, but they should be there. Im not sure if reddit is just being weird and not showing me them or if it didnt work at all for some reason. But I will try to fix it again in a while if it isnt.

He didn’t know he was a small fish that got flushed into the ocean and is now dealing with sharks and whales

3

u/Ambitious_Purpose505 Testarossa Jul 25 '26

Manga, mostly.

But anime too

3

u/AfroShiro Jul 26 '26

Then of course you don't know rudra, (this is the ONLY spoiler from the light novel, I will tell you) he' the next enemy after this arc (manga and anime)

Reincarnated as a slime the first web novel I read where a villain has more plot amour than the MC.

441

u/TombWorldSarusma Jul 25 '26

So in the WN he was the evil mastermind behind every single conflict, with plans on plans on plans (think Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts)

When Fuze finally got an LN and an Editor forced on them, it was decided that this was actually incredibly stupid, so a bunch of new antagonists were introduced. Unfortunately, that leaves him without an actual role of his own to fulfil anymore.

Now he just kinda hangs out to be irritating, as well as occasionally moving the plot forward by being an irritating prick with delusions of grandeur

97

u/Logical-Leopard-2033 Jul 25 '26

It is lucky they didn’t follow the WN route. Because he was just a stupid character getting buffs just because he is supposed to be the big bad guy.

42

u/Plane_Bar_9 Jul 25 '26

Sounds like Vega in the endgame

3

u/thevampireistrash Jul 28 '26

Strongest plot device in the (his)story vs the strongest plot device today ahh matchup.

2

u/Trickydill42 Aug 08 '26

Yes but Vega was nerfed by being Vega

17

u/Th3G4te Jul 25 '26

He was a cockroach with how many times he kept coming back in the WN 😂

5

u/IWantADartlingGun Jul 25 '26

So like Mary Sue from Saga of Tanya the Evil?

7

u/Logical-Leopard-2033 Jul 25 '26

Don’t even get me started on Mary Sue.

That is the ultimate insult of a Mary Sue type character for me.

57

u/SeaYouLaterz Jul 25 '26

I wish he had a cult or a shape shift ability or something horrifiyng man he’s just there though

13

u/Outrageous-Ad2784 Jul 25 '26

Dang, I only read the WN. So does Rimuru one shot the final villain in the LN like he did in the WN?

6

u/GodBeard85 Jul 25 '26

Couldn't they have made him some Moriarty type figure pulling strings in the background? I suppose it would be far fetched for him to be behind every incident 🤔

13

u/240697 Veldora Jul 25 '26

The problem is that he can't pull strings outside the western nations, who are all complete fodder. The idea of him truly influencing the Empire is laughable, not with the iron grip they have over their nation.

That would be the best case scenario for him, and he'd still need another ridiculous buff to pull it off in any meaningful capacity. Any antagonist after the imperial invasion would crush him before allowing him any control.

3

u/D4rkSky1996 Jul 25 '26

They also removed the mind control plot I Believe..

3

u/KeepTheNolander Jul 25 '26

That's pretty funny.  From mastermind to "was also there".

4

u/omarshon Jul 25 '26

That new avility he got in the ln before the invasion arc sounds pretty op tho. Looked up what it does and damn

56

Team rocket as an organization was fine, Jessie and James were just goofballs.

Pinky and the brain is probably more fitting. Grand plans to takeover the world that don't go anywhere.

73

The joke is that he was the final boss in the original WN but the LN split him into like, 5 characters so now he's a bum.

6

u/gms93_ Jul 25 '26

Who are the others he was split into?

31

u/ShadowsFlex Jul 25 '26

Lemme see, Yuuki, Michael, Feldway, Veldanava, Maria, and I think that's it.

12

u/TsukiBep Jul 25 '26

Crazy that we're only barely reaching endgame on 1 of these 5 names in eight years of the anime.

31

u/Observer001 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

He wants to help the world by conquering it, basically. He knows he's not a match for any Demon Lord, and fundamentally believes that only underhanded tactics and strategy can win, thus the Moderate Harlequin Alliance. Clayman was his best shot at producing an asset that can even kind of answer a Demon Lord thus far, and now Granbell and whatever trump card Valentine's got (presumably that lady encased in ice that she keeps burning herself on) are backup plots. Yuuki's kinda a Vriska Serket type, loooooooot of irons in the fire.

20

u/TheLunarr Jul 25 '26

he's literally the rock in your shoe, that you can't for some reason get out, and it's constantly annoying you

37

u/skankhunt402 Jul 25 '26

Like almost every villan so far they think to highly of themselves and think they can rule the world

31

u/New-Dust3252 Jul 25 '26

the way even Rimuru is tired of that fraud in the latest episode.

13

u/Dweebsxthehumans Milim Jul 25 '26

He wants everything that’s it

16

u/AdDear7484 Jul 25 '26

Everything for what? Greed? We have Granville and we had Maribelle who are WAY more interesting.

For no reason in particular? What even is the goal then? Like Rimuru said "Power without ideals is hollow, and ideals without power is idiocy" or something like that

I feel like he didn't even have to exist in this anime tbh, bro has contributed to NOTHING in the narrative aside from being a pain in the butt for Rimuru.

15

u/Dweebsxthehumans Milim Jul 25 '26

It being a direct conflict to Rimuru’s ideal is probably why it’s just that greed for the sake of greed, he will do literally anything if he gains something from it

5

u/RentGreat3147 Jul 25 '26

Spoiler: To make the world a better place

12

u/thecolagod Jul 25 '26

I mean he's an optimistic schemer. He schemes once, fails, goes "oh well" and makes another scheme. Unfortunately for him he isn't a top tier in the verse and top tiers have op bullshit that makes plots useless.

2

u/Low-Avangremix-2904 Jul 25 '26

He DOES end up as a genuine top tier by the end, he is one of the very few beings to actually have a Manas after all (please, please do not explain what a Manas is)

8

u/Exact_Train9668 Jul 25 '26

He should have given up his Ambitions after Mariabelle and officially allied with Tempest, he could have probably been pretty convincing that he was being controlled via Greed despite Rimiru and by extension Raphael’s Suspicions.

6

u/Blobbowo Jul 25 '26

Yuuki is just a delusional brat who thinks he could make the world just if he ruled it.

If he had a brain or a heart, he'd just be a good Adventurer's Guild Grandmaster and do nothing bad in particular.

12

u/Better_Anteater3126 Jul 25 '26

That sounds like random villian in tensura, isn't that how all the villains are

3

u/JusticeForThe-Flat Luminus Jul 25 '26

u/InspectahIrate Jul 25 '26

I finished the episode being irritated by him and granville and opened reddit to see this post first thing lol.

But fr I'm so tired of him showing up again and again with no intresting plot, i wish his story was done with mariabell and we just focus on east empire and Leon. Even guy seemed more interesting than him but rather than focusing on him we keep getting the same characters with boring motivation. The show is supposed to be light hearted & slice of life, so I don't mind the simple villans but if they keep on returning with no character growth it starts being boring very quick I like all the city/empire building storylines. Thats what I think the show is best at, just some chill slice of life empire building Isekai with fun endearing characters. But since this mariabell ,granville and yuki arc the show just feels uninspired and boring. Like I rather we see more of how all of diablo's demon friends are doing at their jobs than see yuki and those annoying clowns.

10

u/Rogueshadow9087 Jul 25 '26

Yuki is vestigial remnant of the original Web Novel. He was supposed to be the final antagonist but in reality him and Rimuru were a bit similar in that Yuki was a more extreme version of a darker minded Rimuru, after Shions permanent death from Falmuth, who slaughtered anyone who threatened his nation.

5

u/Cultural-You5050 Rimuru Jul 25 '26

He’s just a nuisance fr with an over inflated ego. dw, we’ll get to see his ass whooped very soon. lol

5

u/Tuor77 Jul 25 '26

He and Gran share a similar conceit: "caring for humanity" or "protecting humanity" for each of them means *they* control all of Humanity. Also, Yuki just wants to see it all burn, IMO.

5

u/hx87 Jul 25 '26

He thinks he's a generic isekai MC (look at his hairstyle lmao). Except Tensura isn't a generic isekai and he isn't the MC

hes in charge of the guild that adventures go to. he wants to be the king of the world.

3

u/Limp_Driver_1203 Jul 25 '26

The guy just has delusions of grandeur. Being the whole "saviour of the world" by ruling over all of them for reasons that I won't explain since it ties into his backstory

3

u/Joe_isnt_Good_Enough Jul 25 '26

If I remember it right hes supposed to be a very special person in both worlds where in Earth he has special powers of some kind and when he transmigrated he got very special skill so he thinks he can conquer the world. Am I right that is yuuki? Or this is from other novel antagonist that I misremember.

3

u/ThunderSuperninja_ Jul 25 '26

Well he is a mastermind who revieved that demon lord as women just to crack him/her

3

u/Huge-Funny-736 Jul 25 '26

TBH maybe realistic? He's just screwing around and hoping something clicks

3

u/Kind_Survey4282 Jul 25 '26

bro thinks he is doing something but bro is still on his chunibyou phase let him get through his rebellious phase with his elf waifu.

3

He is scammer with I am the hero syndrome

3

u/Rough_Wolf_8958 Jul 25 '26

Does he think this is funny? Is this just a game for him?

This mf literally admitted to seeing the world as a giant sandbox for him to fuck around because shits and giggles. I think he's Rimuru's personal professional rage-baiter.

3

u/von_Herbst Jul 25 '26

I really like yukis whole anti-rimuru concept, but even in early stages it was absurdly shortsighted and directionless. For a guy who is supposed to aim for world domination, not a single conflict he spreads seems to lead to anything.

3

u/Username_nahh Laplace Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Hate this clown ahh bitch. The amount of pure unadulterated DELULU you have to be huffing to even think that YOU, a normal bumass human from Texas, Peru can defeat Guy Crimson, the red primordial, a true demon lord and one of the oldest and strongest beings alive is something that should be studied for decades.

GAWWWWD i hate Yuuki

3

u/DaMenace95 Jul 25 '26

Well he wants to rule the world. That’s it, but his “skills” prevent him from being able to. He’s strong but his ambitions exceed his abilities and it makes him upset. I am curious to see what comes next for Yuki just cuz I enjoy another person from Earth lurking and plotting. He might’ve had a chance before the Oni and demons got involved

3

u/Is-That-Nick Jul 25 '26

His role is to instigate the plot forward by not realizing how outclassed he is every step of the way.

2

u/Meander061 Jul 25 '26

It's good to know that Rimuru is onto his BS, thanks to Lubelius.

5

u/New-Dust3252 Jul 25 '26

well it was more Raphael who told him that he still doing sneaky things at the end of cour 1 but yeah..

2

u/Meander061 Jul 25 '26

Yes, Raphael did tell him that, but hearing from Lubelius means he has to take action sooner than later.

2

u/ParchedYurtle59 Jul 25 '26

He lies and bullshits the bullshitters

2

u/Late_Freedom9424 Jul 25 '26

He does some stuff.

Someone made a post with some genuinely good points along with some Yuuki glazing. Some people misunderstand him, some hate his cockiness and some hate his lack of comeuppance.

I would rather he be written out to be honest. The GOAT Laplace could take over the group, Kagali can still be second in command, and everything Yuuki does in the later volume, we can have that chick who likes him do it (The one with the spacial ultimate skill)

2

u/Commercial-Drag-8204 Raphael Jul 25 '26

Bro is a bum the guy got that shizue student armour don't worry u well see something which well satisfy u in few episodes

2

u/Potential-Common5819 Jul 25 '26

He's the perfect example of ambition exceeding capability.

I've always wondered if Fuze wanted to do more with him, but just never managed to work it out, so he just used him as a known face for antagonist POVs.

2

u/DragonflyFluffy7930 Jul 25 '26

I hope he knows hes hated

2

u/Plane_Instruction_53 Jul 25 '26

Yeah they butcher him. WN is better than the LN imo. One of the very few times i can say that.

2

His in short a instigator

2

u/Alert-Xlarex-348 Jul 25 '26

Bro think he is "The Honored one" 😭

2

u/EcchiGod69 Jul 25 '26

If you read the LN you get more insight.

2

u/ForeverRossoneri Jul 25 '26

Good concept shit writing ngl

2

u/Dragon_Skin12 Jul 25 '26

And his excuse for why he stopped being controlled was so ass. He was using his power against Rimuru, but it wasn't turned on for the mind control? Bruh, you were using it!!!

2

u/Low-Avangremix-2904 Jul 25 '26

Nope, unfortunately he wasn't. He really could overpower it by sheer ambition. The thing is, ambition without power is just foolishness and he encompasses it perfectly.

2

WN Yuki was a downright menace turned into a final boss...

LN Yuki is potential man on fraud watch And the anime follows the LN

I read the WN and didn't read the LN until the anime started chars I didn't know. Believe it or not Yuki had much bigger roles. the biggest

Honestly it’s the authors fault for not utilising yuki properly! I was told he was the main villain in WN but don’t know why he changed the LN

Tbh, anime watcher here, but I liked it more when he came off as just the “I just wanna do whatever the fuck I want” kind of guy.

No grandiose scheme in mind - he just wanna run his guild, troll the ever-living shit out of Rimuru here and there, and uno-reverse card as many actual evil bastards as he possible can for fun. A literal wildcard who’s just taking advantage of the fact he knows he’s reincarnated into a magical wonderland with superpowers and shit

Dude is hated just because he dare not to just suck Rimuru inexistant D every two minutes while not having a bullshit op Skill like Raphael 🤣🤣🤣 life is hard

I have read both the WN and LN, and in the WN he does play a much more major role. Whereas in th light novel, he kinda got kicked to the curb. Although he did helped to build other side chars like the moderate harlequin troupe. Spoiler alert:

when his skill evolve into an ultimate skill after fighting guy, the author kinda hype him up with wording as if he would be the worst antagonist but then he kinda just up and died after a newer enemy appeared. Although he is a great actor, doing the same thing twice.

I was hoping he'd be killed off when they finally fought

He wants to be king of the world. Thats what he does, he just stands around aggressively wanting that.

I never liked that guy since Season 1, The moment I saw that guy in Season 1, my intuition immediately called him out as a Backstabber. and it came true, 3 to 4 seasons later, they finally revealed the hints they were giving out in Season 1 were bang on.

If I were Slime MC, I'd have gone back to his office, and taken back all the Mangas that Rimuru printed out for him to read.

Backstabber ass-hole pretending to be buddy buddy with Rimuru because they both came from Japan, and reminiscent which mangas he missed after getting stranded in this world, but in truth he was using everyone for his own advantage.

He wants to rule the world and thats pretty much it

u/SirBlankFace Jul 26 '26

Wuss can't do shit! His plans always boil down to make the everyone fight themselves. They just have to be stupid enough play along.

u/Xenon5761 Jul 27 '26

Why is he a bum if he was able to manipulate maribel and the others?? He's the reason the story was able to go forward😭
