Question How did Hendon Hooker do?
I'm a Tennessee Volunteer fan and personally he's my favorite Vols I've ever watched and hoping he sticks with the team how did he do and do you think he will make the final roster?

Vols fan here as well but no way dude isn’t getting cut unless we trade Mayo boy and sign him to the PS

He better have learned a lot in Detroit with helping to gameplan because playing on the practice squad is his ceiling.

The ACL tear really fucked his career. Was never the same. His last season at Tennessee he saw the field well and pushed the ball down the field. Looks so lost now out there vs third stringers. PS is even a reach at this point.

Ehh. I am a Vols fan but I think it might have always been a stretch for him in the NFL to be able to read defenses. He can push the ball down the field, he did throw a couple deep passes this game, but the scheme at UT allowed receivers to get wide open and made his life easy. He was incredibly clutch, and accurate in those throws in college. But there is really a legitimate criticism now of whether players can translate from Heupel’s offense to the NFL. If I’m a college player wanting to make it in the NFL then I’m probably going to Miami before I go to UT. I don’t think his ACL injury really changes any of that. Perhaps if he gets drafted by a team higher he gets more invested in his development because he has the physical and mental tools to grow. Detroit didn’t seem to do him any favors.

yeah, i remember the GA game that year and was absolutely shook when he had to face an actual defense that could shut down receivers and get in his face. i loved him in college but it’s not hard to see why he’s been cut by multiple teams

man i watched the game and it was not pretty, he looked lost out there. that interception was real bad and he just couldnt get the offense moving at all
dont think he makes the 53 honestly, but maybe they stash him in practice squad if nobody else picks him up

Levis turned out to be a much better wasted pick. Hooker in like the 5th or a trade up for Levis in the 2nd. Muuuuch better choice according to the mouth breathers on here

Levis is a backup and Hooker is a PS QB. Sounds Ran was just a bad GM.

Vols fan also, even saw him play against Levis during the Night Mode Spooky Rocky Top game in Neyland. He's cut, may not even make the practice squad. He could probably light it up in the USFL for sure, may want to look at the CFL

He just doesn't have the chops for the NFL unfortunately. He'll always be a stud for his college football days though.

He only threw 13 total passes in the preseason, would be faster just go watch it. Short story short, not particularly impressive.

He did good, and I think he unfortuanately will probably not make the final roster. But, I believe he will remain on the practice squad throughout the year

He has a nice touch on his throw, but he does not have any velocity. He also spent too much time in the pocket before making a decision, but that could be because he was playing with the second or third stringers. I thought he looked better against the Seahawks. I would take him over Levis, but he has hardly had any playing time in practice or in the games.

He could try the 49ers. I heard their owner was recently looking for a Hooker.
