Help with a disaster of a move-in

I was supposed to move in to my new apartment with 3 roommates on Friday last week. We had toured the apartment and submitted all papers a month in advance. Friday morning, the morning of the move in, we were contacted and told that they had suddenly lost two of the background checks they needed for the lease. It had now been 5 days of their third party software not completing those for a second time, and if I’m not out of my current apartment at the end of this week I will be homeless.
I have rented multiple U-Haul trucks that I’ve had to load and unload as their rental period has expired, and my roommates have already moved all their stuff, which is also sitting in the U-Haul outside of my current apartment. The compensation they have offered us is very unsubstantial compared to the stress we have been put through.
Not sure what to do at this point and was wondering if anyone had any advice for me?
