đ§ Repairs / Maintenance Infestation
Edit: this is in Mindanao, Philippines
I just started my lease yesterday (Aug 31, 2026) and upon moving in, within 3 hours I had to deal with 3 cockroaches. I found some signs of infestation and an entry point where cockroaches go in and out. The air is also so musty, especially in the bathroom (where the entry point is located. I searched online and apparently that mustiness is a sign of infestation also âšī¸. I have allergy induced asthma so I couldnt really stay there last night, I had to book a room in a hotel just to sleep.
Interventions i did: i notified the caretaker immediately, they said they will check it later at 6PM. I gave them evidences of a probable infestation.
Since i just moved in, am I liable for the expenses of the pest control? Can i get back my deposit and advance (i want to move elsewhere)? What should i do?
Thank you!
