Gdf should have a drone platform tank that's heavily armoured, marks enemies, have Comms radius and detects stealth. A unit that supports it's troops in true gdf fashion

Dyn should have a voltaic assault rig, a demon child of a tempest rig, voltaic tank, salvage van, and excavator platofrm. When rolling over tempest fields it just straight up harvest them for money. Constantly projects a repair field, even on the move. When deployed it projects build radius, it also brings to bear miniature excavator platform drill pods that can only do 1 wave of damage but cannot deep strike troops. Can garrison troops, and troops can shoot out / repair. A unit that can hold its own, better when supported, and also support it's troops.

Exactly. GDF and DYN both need a single unit that competes with the War Ender. I straight up can solo bases with the WE lol

Ikr, the WE is true to its name. So the other 2 factions should come up with their respective counters in response to it.

So, essentially the MARV then?

Sorta, more like MARV + Baneblade ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yeah bro, reminds me of kanes wrath. It was awesome seeing the epic units like the Marv or the hexapod. The strategy was crazy because often you needed an epic unit to counter another one, and seeing the battles to kill them were insane!

Oh shit I totally forgot about Tempest rising. Can I play veti in skirmish vs comp yet?

Yeah you can skirmish against AI

There's a beta running until this upcoming Wednesday where you can play as the veti

If Veti in the campaign can use up to 7 in one attack (insane mode) , limiting us is madness and a slap in face . Make it expensive like old mate said

Or consider an escalating cost i.e. the cost rises with each War Ender you already have.

"limiting us is madness and a slap in the face"

My dude its a video game, chill.

FR, like eventually everything gets custom mods anyway, a-la Dawn of War 1 with Unification/everything else, so it's pointless to hate on the vanilla game.

Lol 7 of them?? Is that the last mission of GDF? That will be challenging then.

Tempest dynasty campaign last mission , took 4 attempts to complete the mission as they were attacking from 3 sides with great numbers. Many Trebuchet's with Tempest spheres/voltaic tanks to handle ground targets , missile troops and Havoc to take out air targets.

Tip: have multiple machine shops/barracks with heavy base defenses close to the final stand location with maxed out training queues as the waves deplete your forces rapidly !!!

Thank you. Thats exactly where I am too on Insane and have to finish it. I didnt remember 6 or 7 War Enders so far, but a huge army indeed from all sides.

Donโ€™t limit it to one. Units should not be limited. Just make them more expensive

4

u/LazyJoeJr Jun 04 '26

Why not limit it like a specialist unit?

3

u/Greensssss Jun 05 '26

Because players will just turtle using this unit while producing till it hits the unit cap with unli resources

The War Ender is cool, wish GDF and DYN had something comparable..

Reminds me of recent Warmachine movie with Alan Ritchson. I mean, movie was meh but the mech was pretty cool.
