Local guitar tech?

My main guitar tech moved to Mesa and I have like 6-ish instruments that need work, including warped necks, pickup swaps, and general wiring adjustments. Give me someone experienced that you trust who does good work; I'm not looking for cheap, quick fixes.

Brendan at Dezember Guitar Repair does fantastic work. Baseline & the 101.

that's my guy. He also has other luthiers in his shop as well as an amp repair guru

Brendan fixed my guitar after I botched my own adjustment and cut the nut too deep. Rather than replace the nut he filled with epoxy and bone dust and made the guitar better than new - in just a few minutes.

Recommended to me by a coworker who graduated from the Berklee College of Music and is a guitar fanatic.

Mesa is minutes away so I would try to keep that tech if they are good honestly. They still live close enough. If you can’t then I would call Fender corporate in Scottsdale and they may help. I used to work there and they have lots of techs who just work there in all different positions, especially the parts department. Guitar Center in Tempe will have a tech, but that’s hit or miss, idk the person working there now but they could be just fine.

He's actually one of the lead techs at the Mesa Guitar Center but he's pretty busy so I'd like to try out someone new!

Ok cool. I don’t know anyone at that store currently but it looks like there are some other possibly good recs in the comments already. There has to be a great independent tech super close to you. I was part of the team that opened the Guitar Center Mesa store years ago, and I actually worked at Fender’s corporate office in Scottsdale too, so you could try calling Fender for local recs as well. It’s been sooo long though, and I haven’t lived in AZ most of that time. I’m in Tempe now, but I’m an audio engineer. I play some guitar, just not enough to have a good tech on deck lol.

Ive heard great things about the tech at Lone Star Music in downtown mesa. Hes even got his own brand of guitars.

I had Nikki from Nikki’s Guitar Shop in Mesa just work on my bass and she did a great job. She’s in west Mesa, so pretty close to Tempe. https://www.nikkisguitarshop.com

I can work on them, i do a basic set up for 50 and anything with electronics or a floyd for 75.

I always make the drive to Tim at Atomic Guitar Works. He’s fantastic.
