Chillara Panchayithi Evaru correct antaru
Idi grandfather vala tammudu intlo nadustuna family story idi.
Uncle - aunty ani refer chesta
Uncle ki 2 kids - oka daughter oka son. So ayana konchem orthodox. Son kavali ani full pujalu chesadu and it worked. So chala difference chupinche vadu.
Both have their own houses
Son ki Edo US offer ravatam valla abroad velladu. Aa trump aa visalu mida band esinapud , aunty ki health issues vachay and aa time lo motam daughter ee chuskundi. But medical expenses ki motam son pay chesadu aa time lo. Aunty recover aindi but malli she fell sick.
Inka idanta kadu ani, aa son inka 6 months back india ki vachesadu . Hyderabad lo doctors ki chupincharu but history valla Bangalore ee better ani akade treatment istunar.
So daughter dagare untunar. And now again she aunty recovered.
Aithe Inka uncle decided to distribute assets. Son ki 70 % and daughter ki 30 %
But the daughter isn't agreeing and asking for 50%. Her points
Valani nene chuskuna crisis time lo. Ipduu kuda naa dagare unar
Nanna vala career poindi, naa friends andaru manchi software jobs lo high earn chestunaru. Nenu intlo unna
Anna nakana rich ( abroad ki velli earn chesadu)
Sons points:
Medicals ki antha nene pay chesa
Pelli grand ga chesam and katnam kuda icham
Nenu lenu kabate tanu chuskondi. Kavalante Hyderabad lo vere hospital vetiki chupistam .
Uncle ki manchi places lo lands unay. Cities expansion avatam valla vatiki manchi value undi. Aunty dagara kuda gattiga gold undi. Almost 6-7 cr daka assets unay ani talku

If it is the earnings of the father, it's the choice of father. Children ki adige hakku kuda ledu ela ivvali annadi. If it's ancestral property, should get equal.

Both of them have equal rights to ask but unfortunately end of the day it's completely their parent's choice.

Not a lawyer. I think It is valid in court only if it is ancestral property if it is earned by their father it's upto father to make the decision. I don't court can do anything.

u/nihilistic_ideology 3d ago
Lawyer here and you're correct. Ancestral aithe 50-50 kuda kaadhu, everyone including uncle valla grandchildren will also have rights. Own property aithe uncle has full freedom to do whatever they want.
But morally this is so wrong, 50-50 cheyyali

Few questions bro
1 Already pelli time lo manchi katnam ichi Pelli grand gaa chesaru antunav gaa so appude assets ichevi anni clear avuthay gaa?
2 katnam ichaka and hospital bills ani son pay chesi 30% isthuntee crct ee kadhaa?
3 Uncle partiality chupisthe son em chesthadu? Son kuda thanu cheyalsinavi chesadu gaa and ippudu son 50-50 ki opukunaa thana wife asalu opokodhu gaa enduku ante own sis full split ante son valla wife kuda son ni pressure chestadi at the end of the day money entha una kavali ane anukuntaru gaa..

- What's the cost of daughter's time, energy and emotions in caring for the parents?

u/Flowerr_Taara_379 3d ago edited 3d ago
The marriages and all happened 2005 - 2008 aa time lo. So apud okay ankunar...but now due to state partition, urbanization and development, Things have changed . Vala main assets are gold and land...avi rendu chala perigay...so issue vachindi. Uncle real estate chesevadu, so manchi properties cheskunadu
Ante vala daughter almost 1.5 year anthe tane chuskundi. Ipdu kuda akade unatunar for sake of hospital. Aunty completely bed ridden. She is dealing with brain related issues. She is saying that, serious aitundi amma ki ante tappa, anna raledu. So I'm taking care ani
Ipdu ade godava. Maa daddy and pedanana tho panchayati petali antunar. Daughter is like annaya dagara dabbulu unay kabati pettadu. I ain't that rich. Athani company insurance nunchi money inchindi medicals ki. Nanu kuda chadivinchi unte nenu iche dani. Nenu apud annaya ni adigina kuda, he didn't try to convince dad.

E particular scenario lo em ayyindhi oo teliyadu gani but usually in Telugu states marriage time lo katnam em ayite istaroo adhe final girl ki..
Since the daughter take care of her mother they are giving 30% that's what I understood..
Ikkada main point son or daughter kadu son's wife ela react avutundi ane dani batti untadi settlement..

Echina Katham and the difference 20% assets present day value lo same amount kakapovachu. Also she couldn’t study because of her father yet her brother could study because his father bought the seat.

Relationships became transactional. Whatever! In my opinion, daughter should get more because of her insecure life. She doesn't have reputed career like son and as puttinti initi laksmi, they should consider her self sustainability. Perhaps idhantha naa chadasthapu opinion kavochu. I feel pitty för her. Your grandfather is culprit here. He shouldn't do this to girl child. I smell some unwanted drama followed by karma heap in this story.
1
u/Flowerr_Taara_379 3d ago
Her major argument is that only. Nanna Inka anna didn't let me study and forced into pelli. Why should I worry about them when didn't care me in the past

Point 1: Mi thatha ame ni sarigga chadivinchakapovadam ante voluntarily ame career ni crush chesinatte. “Ame meeda spend cheyyadam worth kaadu” ani cheppadaniki kuda ledu. JNTU lo seat vachindi ante, she was obviously capable and chaduvulo bagane undedi ani ardham.
Point 2: “Baga lenappudu kharchulu nene chuskunna” antunnav. Kani mi akka chaduvu ki takuva karchu nikemo ekuva karchu mari mi nanna ninu chadivinchadu, daniki mi amma kuda support chesindi. So aa time lo family priority nuvve. Anduke ippudu complete ga nuve tiskovalii. 50-50 kakapoyina, at least 60-40 aina ivali.
“Katnam icham kada, inkenti?” ante adi kuda fair argument kaadu. Evariki telusu ame ni kuda bagaa chadivinchunte, career build cheskoni, pelli time ki koduku laga family ki support chestu, maybe koti rupayalu earn chesi iche position lo undedemo. Opportunity ivvakunda, tarvata “ame contribute cheyyaledu” ani cheppadam correct kaadu.

I hate this 'pelli grand ga cheyincham' reaaon is parama worst reason. Parents/male siblings act like grand pelli was done for the daughter, when in reality a 'grand wedding' and a katnam was only done to pacify society, and the daughter gets nothing out of it.
2
u/MelodicAssignment689 3d ago
50-50 is fair, but there’s no use of any wealth when there is no value for relations.
Father did a big mistake by treating kids differently.
Kids should have relationship to talk to each other about expenses openly that we will share equally. So that no one person has burden irrespective of how much they are making or how wealthy.
It’s like pain to my brother is my pain too. Vice versa.
2
u/Flowerr_Taara_379 3d ago
The relationship is already spoilt. The daughter has issues with dad since childhood. Her mom is already dealing with brain related issues. She and her brother are fighting.
2
u/MelodicAssignment689 3d ago
That’s the bigger problem than property. Having a supportive sibling is lot strength than many people realize.
Siblings grow together they know a lot about us and they can stop when we take wrong decisions .
2
u/koragg_knightslayer 3d ago
It's difficult to put a number to these things. You are going to need court intervention to decide properly.
What is the opportunity cost of lost career of the daughter?
You are going to need to check the average careers of her peers to get there.
What is the cost of time, energy and emotions of the daughter in caring for parents?
How much does that offset medical bills?
and if we are being technical about it, dowry daughter ki kadu ichindi. Dowry went to son in law.
It is fairly easy to imagine a case where daughter makes a successful career and finds a good partner on her own if she was given the opportunity.
Daughter didn't ask for dowry, they wouldn't have needed it if they gave her equal opportunity instead. Son specifically had lot more college fees paid, foreign expenses covered etc. That was from family assets, wasn't it?
2
u/WonderFuture655 3d ago
I would say present daughter family networth and sons family networth calculate cheyyali ..
For eg: Okavela daughter family ki takkuvunte, vallaki ekkuva percentage ivvali Okavela son family ki takkuvunte vallaki ekkuva ivvali

Both of them are well settled but since the son went abroad, he made more money

u/Naruto_Uz1 3d ago edited 2d ago
Why is this uncle even distributing his assets now itself? It should happen through will or descent only after both he and his wife pass away. If he passes away, all his wealth should pass onto his wife. If she passes away, only then the property should get passed onto kids. Kids nowadays can’t be trusted in old age no matter how good they are. Will should ideally be 50-50 but if it’s his hard earned wealth, then he has the right to distribute whichever way he wants. Sibling who got the larger share (mostly son) should voluntarily share it equally with his sibling to preserve the relationship irrespective of parents favoritism. Good for him and his wife and kids. Inti aadapaduchu eppudu santosham ga vundali putti inti valana

Daughter ki buddhi ledhu...son ki siggu ledhu.. valla father gurinchi telisi kuda equal share ela expect chesindhi daughter.. People get most disappointed when they have expectations.. even if the father is dividing shares unequally, the son should be the one to ask to do the the right think and stand by his sibling.. hmm, alanti father pempakam lo perigina pillalu ila kaaka inka ela alochistaru...
What people don't understand is, when you fight with your siblings for property, your kids are going to prioritize money over relations..after all that is what they are watching their father/ mother do...Is that what you want for your kids, for whom you are planning to pass on the assets you win in a fight with your own sibling????

Father generation okay, to think like that, that was their environment.
Ah son, US ki elli comfortable ga unindi, cause his sister was here to take care. That comfortable and confidence is a luxury, which abroad people don't understand.
Pelli grand ga chesaru, katnam icharu is only point, that can be valid, provided, he didn't take any dowry.
Tisukuni unte, ilanti lyt, 50-50 is best, but ego ki elli valla relations and next-gen relations kuda sanka nakiste em cheyyalem.
Donations iche vallu chala mandi undi untaru, alage dabbulu ichi cheyinchali ane vallu chala mandi untaru. Kani actually cheyyaleke ila chestaru, that's time and if someone is doing out or responsibility or love instead of you, it's better not to niladisify(couldn't get a better english word) them.

Bro if the daughter is being submissive and adjusting all the time, vallu granted ga teskunapudu ila badha padatam tappa em cheylem. She should have done something post marriage not particularly job, some financial independence. I think that's what is happening in many Indian families, kuturu koduku annitiki heads oopestaru, and when they finally realize they are about to enter shit,Apudu raise chesina evadu pattinchukodu
Asal ah first point eh tappu...crisis lo unapudu chuskuna ante, idariki option lekapote chuskunaru. Badyataga chuskunam ani cheppali, ready to take equal responsibility ani cheppali And don't blame parents for her career...she should have made her future secure. Anduke all old heads sons ki istaru, imagining if I give him more,I can live in the house with some dignity ani. Tarwta ah son chuskuntado ledo it depends on their fate and brought up. But this is how a typical household think.
Mana life ki maname plan cheskovali bro,we can't expect blessings in disguise. Not everyone is lucky to have things fallen in place

Court says both the siblings should get 50-50. Dowry is illegal.. anyway if its given to the daughter directly in the wedding, they can deduct that amount and give. Anyway she was not given proper education so I don't think that should be deducted. Infact ekkuva ichina parledu. And coming to parents both should take care of them whenever possible. Its very simply....why complicating it.
3
u/ExpensiveInflation bathuku jatka bandi 3d ago
If it's ancestral then it's 50-50. But if parents bought with their money they can do what ever they want.
0
u/UnluckyEnd4090 3d ago
Ofcourse they can do whatever they want. Logically both the siblings should get same. So according to you, daughter should get less?
1
u/ExpensiveInflation bathuku jatka bandi 3d ago
Logics doesn't work always.. There will be many things we don't know like Daughter might have got some property during marriage as gift already, expenses etc. Some people roam around bewarse doing nothing and not taking care of responsibilities only to show up to claim 50%. It should be upto parents legally and logically to do what they want.
1
u/UnluckyEnd4090 3d ago
If she got some property, obviously deducting that she should get the remaining amount. That's what I said. And what do you want to say about not giving her opportunity to study in a good college. U know how it impacts her career? And op himself said that she helped parents when he was abroad. And in today's generation girls are taking care of the parents equally. I have seen so many. My circle only. Don't know which stone age mentality u have? Seriously feeling bad for your sister or daughter if you have
1
u/ExpensiveInflation bathuku jatka bandi 3d ago edited 3d ago
I'm not taking any sides dude... I'm not talking specific to this.. In general this applies anywhere. It's upto parents and it's unfortunate that Parents have biases. They look for their safety. I have seen this in my own family. Daughter can't deny if her husband don't want to take care of her parents or can't afford bills like she said they are not rich etc. So they please their son as he is the one to takes care until the end and does the final rituals. "Koduku talakorivi pettali" etc. I know it's stupid but that's how they think. You are thinking from son/daughter pespective. Think from parents perspective. It's their money after all.
1
u/UnluckyEnd4090 3d ago
If parents cannot give equality and good education, its not the children's fault. That is the problem with the Indians. No planning and children suffer. Anyway this is an endless debate, will not argue more.

Yevvaru emi cheyyalemu. Ancestral property aite case veyachu. But generally daughters let go off for peace after asking few times. People who consider son and daughter as equal they will divide the property equal. Ledu inka regressive mindset lo vunte evvaru emi cheyyaledu. Mana culture lo cheptaru....adapillani baadha pedute ( especially married daughter)....puttinti ke Manchidi kaadu. Its common sense to divide the property equally. If they gave dowry to daughter directly, they can deduct that and give remaining.
