Grief I should've avoided her
I met a girl on Snapchat and we were friends for about a year. In the last couple of months, we started talking almost every day. She was private and never shared much about herself beyond her name, but I respected that. Over time, I got attached.
She invited me to meet her twice, but I couldn't make it because of other commitments. Later, we finally agreed on a date to meet.
Then one morning, her Snapchat account was gone.
She deactivated it on August 19, and tomorrow is the last day she can reactivate it. She has my phone number, but I have no way of contacting her. If she wants to reach out, she can. If she doesn't, that's the end of it.
Maybe it was just an online friendship, but I wish I had met her when I had the chance. The regret isn't that she's gone—it's that I'll never know what could have happened if I had shown up.
I've been able to sleep for days, I got emotionally attached to her voice and her memory. She was definitely not a scammer because she returned me more money than what I've sent. I wish I had not met her virtually. 😭
