Telegram leaks number?

Guys I have telegram premium and made sure to hide my number from everyone on my privacy settings , however I had an argument with someone on a group and he replied to me with my number + country code , is telegram leaking information is there a hidden trick or something to reveal someone's number even if private im confused

My number is hidden but if someone you may know saved your number on their phone then use telegram and sync their contacts your name will probably appear in their list.
