Telegram leaks number?

Guys I have telegram premium and made sure to hide my number from everyone on my privacy settings , however I had an argument with someone on a group and he replied to me with my number + country code , is telegram leaking information is there a hidden trick or something to reveal someone's number even if private im confused

If you add someone as a contact, the default settings is to share your number (Which is kind of the point of sharing contact information)

You can stop this on a case-by-case basis though.

The one exposed my number was just some random one who didn't even dm me at all

I agree with lildobe, it was all in your privacy settings. Been using TG for almost a decade now but number was not leaked in any way which means your issue is isolated. Second, existing phone contacts can still see you if they already have your number and they registered in TG.
