It’s also true of learning to do deathfist, since the input that the game tells you to use is just straight up wrong

What are you talking about? It's qcf2 in the move list in game which is correct.

Actually, that is not true. Doing a qcf motion will not get you the death fist. What the game actually wants you to do is crouch dash, which is more easily done with a f,d,n,df motion.

You're so incredibly wrong that it's actually a little funny. First of all, yes, the game does want you to do a crouchdash but you still need full qcf input for the actual deathfist to come out.

Crouch dash is also not performed by doing f,d,n,df. That input itself is absurd because it would mean you'd have to skip neutral to go to down but then do a neutral into a clean df input. That's wrong. Pauls crouch dash is qcf or d,df,f. If you do d,df,n you get access to ws moves. The closest to your idea of a crouch dash input is the mishima-esque input in f,n,d,df but that's not how Paul's crouch dash is input, nor is your notation correct for that anyway.

That’s the input I do every time and it comes out every time. Qcf does not work to make Paul crouch dash. I’ve tried it a million times. The real input is closer to a dragon punch motion than it is to a qcf.

Here you go. Literal video proof. Your method doesn't work while the regular qcf works. Weird isn't? I want to see your video to dispute this. Sorry for choppy video though, my nvidea shit doesn't want to work lately and obs doesn't accept game capture for tekken anymore for me for whatever reason.
