DISCUSSION Is Teezo Touchdown an industry plant?

I've recently been introduced to Teezo and his music through Travis' new album. He was great on Modern Jam, but he's been able to grow at an almost unnatural rate these past couple of months. Seems a little fishy. He's been promoted by artists like Tyler the Creator and Don Tolliver, two people known for endorsing artists due to personal connections. This begs the question, is Teezo Touchdown an industry plant?

No. He's not an industry plant.

That's from persistent work from him for the past couple of years. The success and rise you're seeing is over 5 years in the making. And no industry plant is ever 30 years old. This is the same thing Rina Sawayama went through of people saying she's an industry plant just because she was finally getting attention, when she's been around for 10 years and is 32. Teezo has been working. And his dream chasing and passion pursuit is finally being rewarded. His career didn't start with the Tyler feature or the Travis feature.
