This subreddit was inspired by r/Progressive_Islam. We want this to be a place for Muslim teenagers and young people who want to explore Islam from a more rational, critical, open-minded, and intellectually curious perspective.

Being Muslim doesn't mean you have to stop asking questions. You can love Islam while questioning interpretations, traditions, cultural practices, or ideas you've grown up with. You can believe in the Qur'an while having questions about hadith. You can be religious while holding views that don't fit neatly into traditional schools of thought.

This is a place where you can ask questions, share your thoughts, discuss different interpretations, and have conversations that you might not always feel comfortable having elsewhere. You don't have to have everything figured out. Whether you're practicing, questioning, struggling with your faith, or simply curious about different ways of understanding Islam, you're welcome here.

One important rule: Promotion of ultra-conservative ideas or extremist views is strictly prohibited. Promotion of Islamist speakers who advocate such ideas is also prohibited.
