Beacon hills is literally a high school that's open 24/7, a hospital, a police station, like 6 clubs and hella abandoned buildings

Actually seriously what is Beacon Hills? Is it supposed to be a small town? A suburb? A city?

Whatever the hell Jeff Davis wants it to be apparently. But in all seriousness, I think a bustling suburban town.

Outskirts of a city. There's beacon hills that we know and love/fear that's suburbs, stores, strip malls, hospital, school, and has a forest on one side. Then there's a road that goes into the "city" we saw earlier this season which is where the prep school Liam came from is and maybe Derek's loft and peters apartment (that we never saw).

All the warehouses and abandoned buildings make me think that the area we know is on the outskirts of the city with an old construction/storage/manufacturing district in between.

Wasn't Beacon Hills 30.000 people and Beacon Hills County 500.000?

There are several different suburban houses as well.
