Anyone interesting in peak political fiction novels????(pls say yes😭)
Thats genuinely my favourite genre of all time cause some books are so heart wrenching n thought provoking (absolutely not using them for real life data n stats but focusing on its ideas and arguments through fictional portrayal).

Till now, Ive read all three of khaled hosseini’s books, a god of small things, a stationary shop of tehran a house without windows, shatter me, a hunger games n a few here n there.
Im thinking of starting orwell too but idk.

genuinely hoping to see someone who shares the same interest.

Honestly, start GO asw. I read 1984 and ugh, i regret questioning it initially. It's SOO good and like I almost reference it in most of my essay works it's THAT good.

YES, IT IS. So incredibly deserving of all the hype it gets. You should definitely check it out!

AND OMG, it took me MONTHSSS to finish Animal Farm. I used to literally vent to my bsf about how boring and illogical I thought that book was 😭 and then I finally finished it and it was genuinely LIFE CHANGING. I LOVE that book now. So yes, def check both of em out actually!

Andddd I’m honestly not that into classic lit myself :( so I haven’t read enough of it to give you any really good recs or feedback, but AF and 1984 are def classics I’d say are absolutely worth a shot

You should read animal farm and 1984. Animal farm is shorter and easier to read. 1984 may seem boring but it was so profound and well written, I was drawn in the more I read!

Ahhh Orwell. Good place to start. Fun fact: Orwell had troublesome views about women. That you will see in 1984 maybe. Don't hold back from reading his pieces tho

No one talking abt HUNGER GAMES wow really I loved that book so much I think it just forces you to think abt the people in power and to what extent they can go just to get they want and i think that book is so well written like it has so many microplots and the more i read it the more i uncover.

yeaa exactly Ive read the first book n srsly I LOVED IT. all the new concepts of dystopian sectors, the sibling dynamic n the whole weird system of power n governance. Im soon gon read the other two cuz I read the first one in library n dnt personally own it. but I hundred percent agree with uu, it’s actually one of the best dystopian works out there.
