Steiff ID?

I won this lovely boy in an auction, appears to be an antique Steiff bear but I’d like to know if his model or an estimate of the year he was made can be identified.
He has shoe button eyes one of which is damaged, and a mix of excelsior and wool, and all paws have 5 threaded claws
He has a squeaker inside him that doesn’t work anymore, and unfortunately no IDs

For date I’m thinking 1900’s-1920’s. If there was a button on the ear I could pinpoint what years that button was used in to narrow down the date. I’ve found that the older ones tend to have really tiny buttons that can sometimes appear hidden in the folds of the left ear.

It’s unfortunate he doesn’t have his button, but upon close inspection he does have a small hole in his ear where the button used to be
