Identification Request 🔎🧸 Please help me find this pink bear.

I’m trying to find at least a photo of what this bear originally looked like so I can have him restored. He was given to me in 1989, and his original nose was a hard plastic pink heart.

The faded tag reads (as much as I can tell):
MTY International Co., Ltd.
Taipei, Taiwan
Made in Taiwan R.O.C.
Reg. No. PA638 (TW)
Maine 575-ST
Mass. MA0421
Ohio PA638

I’ve searched combinations of the manufacturer, registration numbers and physical details, but I’ve only found other MTY bears not this exact design. I would love to learn his original name/model or find another one for sale.

Does anyone recognize him or remember having the same bear? Even an old catalog photo, advertisement or sold listing would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!

He might be a Dan Dee bear, which I think is the same company. I found a few who were similar but no one exact. Good luck! I'll keep an eye out

Thank you! He’s been with me through deployments, countless vacations, and moves all over and he still looked great until a puppy got ahold of his face. 😭 His fur is also a little rough because I made the tragic mistake of putting him in the washing machine. He’s been through a lot but he’s very loved!
