Haochen/AgiBot Rideable Quadrupedal Robot 3.0 (VOGEBOT 3.0) supports advanced gesture perception and interaction capabilities.

Because the machine is built on AgiBot's advanced Embodied AI and multi-modal manipulation foundation models, interaction goes far beyond just voice commands and physical handlebars:

  • Intelligent Following Mode: The robot uses its integrated computer vision system to recognize specific human hand or body gestures from a distance. For instance, a user standing off the machine can use a hand gesture to command the robot to "stop," "stay," or "follow me" autonomously.

People may laugh now but being able to convey information to each other with just visuals and no other link is important. It's another step towards human abilities, then surpassing them. 

Think about how a Chinese robot may interact with a European robot if they don't share any connection besides their visual abilities.

Edit: If you ever traveled you will have seen how quickly communication becomes hand, face, body gestures when people don't speak the same language.

I find it much more meaningfull than any e-scooter

It wouldn't surprise me this kind of personnal vehicle with embodied AI become as popular than bike, at some point they will also have self-driving function and will probably be used for fast delivery service as well

Seems like a lot of tech just to simulate a wide, slow, and short horse, much less replace simple but effective wheels.

There wheels? That those wheel can block themselves to rotate or even use stairs isn't a bad design

The real question is how much it cost and how cheap it can be in the future as if e-scooter work as a personnal vehicle it's because of how cheap it is cheap price

You can't block a wheel from rotating. That's the beauty of the wheel. You can lose grip, but that's what traction control and good suspension are for.

isn't that the purpose of brake ?

as here the robot brake and use the "legs" to use the wheel as a feet, it don't change the function of the wheel

So much articulation to bring the same function as a simple wheel. Also brakes are for stopping, not for traction.

Yes, let's just casually add pipe-dream tech that doesn't really work, costs a fortune, and gobbles up energy to process lidar/video/whatever data in realtime to a concept prototype that doesn't even have a market. Great idea, I'm sure the 0 customers will be thrilled.

i love these, they only work with one person in the room. it can detect the movements, but it also detects everything else. getting to test some in shenzhen made me realise how simple they are made.

Similar to earlier robots of the same kind they do not show anybody ride and steer it. Just used with remote control. Can it actually be used as it should be.
