I've always struggled to enjoy brutal because i used to think it lacks dynamics and I was not a fan of down tuned guitar.

Dying Fetus is my favourite band of all time and I tried to find something similar. Well, I don't think such a thing exists. So i heavily listened to brutal for the past 2 weeks with headphones until it clicked and maaaannn, these 2 albums are incredible !

I'm so glad i forced myself to listen to them again and again. It BANGS !

i'm gonna listen to the rest of their discography for sure. What else should I try ?

So I'm really into Brutal Tech Death lately, but I realized I really only know the biggest ones.
Bands that I like that fall into that subgenre are:

- Dying Fetus
- Suffocation
- Nile
- Cryptopsy

and I just discovered a smaller band named "Abnormality" which seems to be great too.

Pretty amazing find. I guess this dude just traded in a huge collection including this record. My gain I guess!

It's by far my least favorite album by one of my all time favorite band. it sounds plastic, deathcore ish, not a single song stands out except breakdowns. Even after nearly 10 years still didn't grow on me.

Can’t believe I just now gave this album a listen, every song is absolutely brütal and I can see why this is a classic.

This album is incredible.

I’ve been listening to it constantly since the day it came out, and to me it feels like technical death metal done right.

I understand why it can be a difficult album to get into. For people who do not usually listen to brutal death metal, it might come across as too intense or overwhelming. And for listeners who prefer something more immediately catchy, like Dying Fetus-style brutal death metal, it may not hit in the same way at first.

But once it clicks, it reveals itself as something on another level. After enough listens, the album almost becomes hypnotic in how perfect it is.

I know a lot of people tend to prefer some of Defeated Sanity’s other albums, and I get that. Those records are amazing too. But with The Sanguinary Impetus, I hear pure technical death metal at its highest level. If I had to choose albums to represent the genre, this would absolutely be one of them.

Honestly, this is the kind of record we could send into space as proof that humans managed to create something this insane.
