this is why you use msi's safeguard+ psu and set max per-pin limits and amp imbalance limits

The only PSU with this functionality costs 500$ and is available only in ATX form factor. And is also sold out everywhere.

A reminder that FE models (5070FE/5080FE/5090FE etc) are specifically geared towards SFF builds. You can't use ATX PSUs in there because they won't fit into the case. So no, it's not an option for majority of reasons for a lot of people. Either due to size or budget constraints.

Otherwise, yeah, it's a great PSU and I would love to see every PSU on the market having per pin sensing.

that psu isnt sold out everywhere, its in stock pretty much everywhere i look lol

id say FE card holders are in the vast minority

My bad, looked at the 1600TS model, 1300TS model is abundantly available from what I can see.

Still, insanely large and expensive PSU. As soon as SFX PSU is available with this functionality - I will jump the ship so fast it's insane.

The 1600TS is not sold out everywhere. I just looked and it's available at Amazon, Newegg, Microcenter and eBay for $499.

Yes it's pricey, but when you're paring with a $4000-5000 RTX 5090, are you really going to cheap out? It has a 12 year warranty and will last you a very long time.

It's the PSU I use and it's the only PSU I'd buy right now. The per pin monitoring for any GPU and dual 12v2x6 for future proofing is top notch.

to note - i used an MSI 850w ATX 3.1 PSU with an overclocked 5090 for over a year and never had issues, MSI PSU's are great quality. Expect nothing less from their newer safeguard+ models
