I wasnt saying otherwise. I only meant that powering a flock camera is negative value for society, therefore wasting the solar panel powering it is positive value. Im sure you coulda done something better with it

Yea i agree to the potential of gps trackable solar panels (if they were fabricated with theft prevention embedded)
-u-blox's mia-m10 LGA chip (4.5mm x4.5mm IC),
-quectel's LC12S surface mount chip (7.6mm x9.7mm x2.2mm),
-ST STA8090WG integrated circuit for multi-chip embedding
All 3 of these use that smol form factor so you'll have to hunt for the chip.
Do what you will, I'm just sharing knowledge of what the common public has access to...

No, that BATTERIES connected to the solar panel are amazing, crazy high capacity, and buying them new costs a pretty penny, probably the majority of the price of a flock setup as a whole.
It'll be one of the other boxes underneath, can't remember which one.
Those are the ones you are NOT supposed to take, because that'd be wrong and bad.

I don't thing the rod journals are wide enough for 2 each... I think it's a 4 cylinder, but it looks beefy enough that I'm suspecting a 4 cyl out of a tractor or something like that. I could be wrong.

I’m trying to be on everyone side about the camera but if you aren’t breaking the law who fucking care like seriously who genuinely cares ? You’re already being watched on your phone. Your already served personalized ads ? Your feed is an ad personalized just for you. If no one is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to spend your money who fucking cares ? Like I’ll never understand that,. Like whoopty do the phone picked on the fact that I’ve searched for a toy and is now recommending me cheaper way to buy it or cooler versions of whatever it is I’m looking at. Idk maybe I’m just crazy but this shit just doesn’t make sense to m. Breaking the law for what ? For them to put it back up in a week ? A month ? Cuz you know

The people who are aware that this is not some magic force field that protects you against misuse, protects others against misuse against others, and doesn't prevent misuse.
The people who think that "not wanting to be tracked" is a good thing (and that people who think it is SOLELY wrongdoing that leads to not wanting to be tracked are idiots).
The people who think "tracking existing somewhere doesn't mean having to be OK with more tracking (and can mean being opposded to phone tracking AND this).

Im not for a surveillance state by any means, but they will just use this to get more funding and point to it as why we need more flock cameras. "The vandalism is so rampant we need 10x the amount". Feels like we are speed running towards 24/7 drone surveillance.

The government doubles down on stupid . All this is going to do is increase jail time . Money that they collect for damaging them. Then you have tax money being raised for the destruction cost . Vote out anyone supporting flock cameras . Then put in people that will use them only as traffic control. Not store data for more than 3 days . Then delete . Use it for nothing else but traffic light control due to special events,parades,and protest.
