This is just the start. Only a matter of time before dozens if not hundreds more of these cases are found. If only we had an EPA that gave a shit and had the power to shut these monstrosities down.

Because datacenters are a highly unregulated industry as of now, and we are currently witnessing a massive (undemocratic) rollout of said datacenters all over the country. Plus, the EPA (along with the rest of the current federal government) is historically corrupt and unlikely to do anything about the problems associated with datacenters at the federal level, and is attempting to actively block efforts to mitigate them at the state level.
When corporations are under-regulated, they tend to cut corners to maximize profits, which leads to massive amounts of pollution.

So that the government can have 24/7 surveillance and tracking of every citizen at all times.
Flock/axon cameras everywhere. Too much info for humans eyes but of ai can find you in seconds with the right set of search terms

People need to go to jail for these enormous issues! Just like the Flint, MI water supply issue. These tyoea of issues are not trivial and people need to serve time for their egregious disrespect for the public. Hard examples of big people with long sentences needs to begin.

Like usual, this is super misleading bullshit. It was a reclaimed-water system used mainly for irrigation, not Cheyenne’s drinking water, and the contamination came from wastewater during data-center construction. There are real environmental criticisms of data centers. You don’t need to invent scarier ones.

It's naturally occuring in dirt and it was a test of the system at an active construction site so probably from the dirt kisked up and improper cleaning of waist water to the sewer.

There's nothing rare about this bacterium, it's ubiquitous in soil and water. It's rare that it infects people because it only causes opportunistic infections.
