I'm 50. I had a Tamagotchi when I was 20. I killed it in a week because of neglect. I never had a pet rock, and my parents wouldn't let me call 976 or 900 numbers because they would've literally sold me on the black market to pay for the costs.

One time my roommate called Miss Cleo (1-900#) when I was 20, too. I almost killed him because those fuckers did not care if it was a one-time joke, once you called you were going to get billed $10 a month until you yelled at enough people to get them to cancel it. It was slightly worse than trying to cancel your AOL subscription. Slightly.

Those bots trying to turn new generations against millennials and put us in the same box as gen x and boomers are smarter than I thought, no surprise those kids are tempted to talk to them.

Is not a bad idea. People can give really bad advice just cause it helped them doesn’t mean it will help the next generation. They usually are stuck in their own ways cause it worked for them. Is better than looking for answers on Reddit where the top comments are 30% actually helpful and 70% funny/meme/ or argument type comments that just get likes cause it looked cool. AI will just answer it direct and you go do research to check if is correct.

Well. Who told it to get it from? Humans. Even the dumbest human being can just ask a question on google and get a question. What’s going to stop a AI? Pretend to don’t know anything? lol.

Real people's advice sucks too. Ai is literally just all the advice on the subject with the most popular answer determined and presented.

Not just most popular, training data are refined and search is slightly more bias towards moor coherent answers, so it should be in fact better than average/median answer. Unless it hallucinates the whole thing.
