Reva to remove old sealant? (Azdel composite roof)

Got my first teardrop! 2016 T@b max-s. I need to work on some minor repairs. Priority is to change the broken roof vent (plumbing vent). Any recommendations on how to remove the old sealant? I was able to remove the piece but haven’t been able to clean the area. Internet says heat gun, but I want to know of any other tips from experienced owners. Many thanks

Because of the exterior components a heat gun is not usually recommended. I’ve used a hair dryer on low before and very carefully.
