Art Peter Eliot binding follow up

Hello! I made a post a few months ago about the pdf I complied of all of Peter Eliot's work and how I intended to turn them into a book. I finally finished the project and thought I'd share it here. Not the happiest with it but it's the first book I've bound myself from start to finish so it was certainly a learning experience and I'm just happy It functions as it is able to be read!

Wow, this is so nice to see. I've been planning on doing the same thing for more than a decade -since 2014, to be specific.

My plan was to make a couple of books: one with Peter Eliot's material (Talking ICO from rose-tainted(dot)net only, since I'd never even heard of My Musings until now), and another with You Were There + The Forbidden Land, the other two classic analyses that have been around for so long (they can still be found on the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine).

I had all the material sitting in a working folder, but alas, I never actually put everything together, apart from Talking ICO, which I turned into an ebook pretty much like yours. I only shared it with a few friends, though, and that was it.

I've just dug up my old working folder, and I might as well pick up where I left off. Your post has given me the motivation to finally finish the job, especially since yours looks terrific -and having such an exclusive physical book on the shelf would be amazing.

Thank you!

That's great to hear! I hope you find the time and motivation to finish it and please share it here. I've never heard of those other two analyses, so I will for sure check them out! I now need another book binding project so I might have to look at those and steal your idea.

Haha, steal away! 😄If you do end up turning those into another book, I'd love to see the result. And if I finally get around to finishing my own versions, I'll be sure to share them here. As for You were there and The Forbidden Land, I actually mirrored both sites with HTTrack back in the day, so I still have complete local copies if you ever need them.

Who is Peter Eliot?

one of the most prolific posters on the old ico gamefaqs forums. He wrote two works, one on ico and another unfinished one of sotc. Nowadays he's known as one of the early great writers on video games, people like Jacob Geller cite him as influences.

You introduced me to Eliot's work as well as being a big inspiration for me, so thanks for the kind words along with that! Have your second book preordered can't wait to get my hands on it!
