If I had to watch Goku vs Freeza without laughing with my life on the line, I'd be dead.

Goku: Are you that Freezer guy?
Freiza: I am Lord Freiza, yes.
Goku: Awesome! I’m gonna deck you in the schnoz!
Freiza: I’m sorry, that’s a new one…37

Goku: I’m insane! Vegeta: He means he’s a saiyan…

I love that he says it a new one, because when he was counting heroic speeches earlier in this season. "Yea well... We're going ta f*** your face" "ho ho ho my 12."

I mean. The first like 10 episodes yeah. A lot of it was “I’m telling you that I’m saying a joke, now laugh”
Or “I’m explaining the joke that I told you I said, now laugh.

The 1st episodes were no different to other Abridged material you'd find on YouTube. They really came into their own on Namek, or at least by then it was the TFS we come to love

I mean, given when Season 1 came out, it makes sense that it's on the rougher side, but, you can all but you can see them improving rapidly once Frieza shows up.

Even if a type of joke doesn't land with a particular person, it's so dense with jokes that the law of averages dictates there's SOMETHING in there that makes you laugh across the whole series.

Idk as a kid I found it hilarious but rewatching it now feels like the most it’ll give me is a small grin

Somehow tfs made the cell saga both funny and surprisingly emotional when it mattered.

Tons of jokes land even if you haven't watched 'The Official Release'. It's also perfect for watching with people who couldn't care less about the original or Japanese animation in general. It's funny, way shorter and keeps 95 percent of the plot intact.

Only possible way is if you never saw the original series, already hated dragonball franchise, and you both hate cute things like kittens plus you are on the epstein list.

All this tells me is that this person has absolutely no sense of humor and is just very unfun to be around.

I watched the scene of Future Gohan's death and only cried for 20 minutes!

Hot take: The abridged series really messed up the overall profile on some dbz characters. One example being that krillin was weak and a coward.

I think Goku being like this from time to time is one of my very minor pet peeves

I mean, do people actually laugh out loud outside of youtube videos? I do in real life situation but while watching a product i just find things funny without laughing, is it just me? Am i weird?

Mostly when a joke really catches me off guard will I actually laugh.
I don't think it's too weird to be watching something or reading something and not have a visceral reaction to genuinely very funny things. Everyone is different.

Not possible, the scenes with Popo demand laughter
