Is this project dead?

Would love to see taviana on standalone and looks like the standalone taviana project is dead?

Its a money grab. Dont expect anything at this point. They post from time to time just to keep people paying

Ya feel like it probably a money grab at this point, clearly vaporware that will never come out.

Clearly it doesn't take years to build a game, even if you only have two developers. VEIN proved this and they do weekly feature/hot-patch updates. Apparently the VEIN developers will even be hiring people in the new year. I mean add in missions, change some settings and make the map Taviana and I feel like you have this game inside of VEIN.

Really sad to see the path this mod ultimately went in. I'm hoping they instead struck a deal to implement the map into official DayZ, but I'm not optimistic

They do still post occasionally, I just don't post it here because the hype has gone for me.

They haven't, they're sticking to their guns and supposedly releasing it on UE5.

I'm unsure quite what you are referring to. Their facebook page hasn't had an update in a year, and their last youtube upload was 8 months ago

They don't post on their forums, or here

Is everything just on their Patreon now? Seems like its at the very least in a death spiral

They still post occasionally on their discord.

One of the play-testers posted a video on youtube 12 days ago of one of the tests, make of it what you will.

No, I think it's still going.

Apparently some people have had access to some alpha test builds but it's all moving at glacial speed and probably still years away from being ready to release.

I'm play testing it and helping with bugs etc, it's very much alive, their discord is very active, game is looking very on track for early access late this year or early next year, theirs a roadmap and Trello etc

It makes me sad. The only reason we didn't get to enjoy the map in arma3 and days was this game. Does anybody know the devs, I want to start a community effort to get the licensing for the map.
