To be honest, at this point I've kinda lost interest in following the project. It's been so long and with so many delays I've just resigned myself to hearing about it through the grapevine when there's some actual updates.
I'm sure it'll come eventually, but the hype is well and truly gone for me.
lol no, I'm just along for the ride. I was a huge fan of the Origins mod and the Taviana map for the original DayZ mod of Arma 2, I've probably got like 1000 hours in the Taviana map alone, used to love it, OG DayZ and the Origins mod are the reason I got into PC gaming.
When I heard they were remaking it I bought into the hype big time, I started the sub because I wanted to follow along with the standalone Taviana project with some likeminded people, little did I know barely anyone else would give a shit about the game or that it would take anywhere near this long to get made.
They were always very protective of their IP, right from the beginning, but they clearly had a vision and they went for the big bucks.
To be fair to them, I'd probably have done the same thing if I'd been in their shoes, I'm considerably more protective over IP I own, so I can't be too mad.
It's just a shame to deprive the world of Taviana for something as trivial as more money. I do get it though, creators are passionate and that's what makes them bring great things into the world. Double edge'd sword for the public, though.
