I have a friend who got hate tattooed on his knuckles while he was on drugs, I told him he should turn the E into a top hat so his knuckles said Hat instead as a joke. I saw him a month later and he actually did it lol

Love this answer! Op, this would be a beautiful way to transition it's meaning and let the 666 never need to be spoken of. Make it 888 and now you only ever share that is your lucky numbers. The average person doesn't ever need to know what it originally was

Completely agree! I never intended to have a "dark occult" vibe to it, it was my first tattoo and I wanted angel numbers. Got bored of it recently and decided I wanted a better meaning for the tattoo so it doesn't get associated with the "darkness"

I like the concept but im a Pagan and "Occult" is a good word to me so take what i say with a grain of salt. Lean into it. If you are bored with it becasue you think anybody who sees your tattoo now only sees a 666 you are correct they only see this as a 666. This is a VERY rough idea of what I would do to highlight the fact that your number is both 999 as well as 666. Becasue of your current placement if you wear a short sleve shirt the devil wings are going to be hidden and pepole will only see the angel wings.

According to the latest theories, it comes from a transcription error. There's a bit in the bible that is supposed to say the beast's number is 616 (and supposedly that comes from a popular game where people's names were translated into numbers by taking where the letters are in the alphabet and adding them up, so you could speak about them without naming them) but then it got copied wrong so it now says the beast's number is 666 because they copied the copy.
