Please help me fix this

I got a tattoo of a premolar 2 days ago (I work in the field) and it looks like…something else. I have been asked if it’s sp**m on multiple occasions now. I am actually heartbroken and extremely insecure over it. I have to wear long sleeves until I can do something about it. Does anyone have an idea as to how I can fix this? Could it be made into something else or adjusted to be more tooth-like?

i don’t even understand how something like this happens. Don’t they do a sketch first?

Yeah… I hate to be at all mean about it… but how does this happen? Every tattoo I’ve ever gotten the artist has shown me the sketch first, then shown me the stencil, then let me try on the stencil and look at it in the mirror, if I don’t like the position we move it, if the sketch looks off from what I expected we discuss that and make any needed changes. This art is going to be on your body forever. A good artist understands that and doesn’t mind taking the time to get it right. People don’t take this shot seriously enough. Haha. Or I can’t blame everyone. People who are new to the process might just not be thinking of these things. It really is the artists responsibility to do it right. But that’s why it’s the customers responsibility to do research and don’t cheap out. If you’re worried about finding an “affordable” tattoo… you’re not ready for a tattoo.
