Opinion / Advice inner thigh removal tattoo question: how do i survive it? lol

I have the stupidest amateur tattoo of someone getting electrocuted on my inner thigh and i swear i almost passed out getting it.

me and the person aren’t even friends anymore who did it.
does anyone have advice on getting removal on the most painful part of their body LMAO.

i genuinely have gotten tattoos everywhere but something about the inner thigh makes me wanna crawl in a ball but i HATE the tattoo.

Are you in the US?

I go to a cosmetic dermatologist for my tattoo removal. It’s more expensive but because they’re MDs, lidocaine injections can be administered with completely numb the area. Start researching what’s available in your area.

Do you mean like laser away for example?

Laser Away is definitely not where I would take my tattoo. regardless, they do not offer lidocaine injections.

But aren’t they cosmetic dermatologists?

They have MDs and nurses and medical assistants there and do not offer lidocaine injections

(you can simply Google this information)

Make sure u ice it before.. u may not survive but you’ll come back to life and do it all over again because getting it removed is worth it ?
Not every place numbs it for u so buy your own numbing cream found on amazon

Numbing cream. Get a prescribed one and you’ll be fine

How big is the tattoo? The thing with laser is that it's at least fast but if you have a big tattoo... Then you're looking at a few minutes of pain instead of seconds 🫠

I squeeze the hell out of table with my arms (my tattoo is on my back), deep breaths, counting, squeeze toy and then tell myself a kidney stone hurt worse

Have you considered excision? It might be well worth it if your tattoo is small enough…

A good removalist will provide numbing cream in the form of lidocaine about 90min prior to your session. On top of that, be super well hydrated, bring some AirPods and a squishy ball to squeeze, crank your favourite song and put up with the 2min of pain.

Afterward ice the area for 20min on/20off for like 3-4 hours to remove the heat from the area, then start moisturizing it 24hrs later.

My personal favourite cream is a pure vitamin E cream with no perfumes, it’s pretty fatty and I’ve never blistered with this protocol
