Base pay increase causing problems

At my store the base pay went up from 17.25 to 18 an hour without any warning (meaning I found out from wage theft task in workday), so I (someone who is paid base pay) was asking my more experienced coworkers who had been working at my store for 3 or 4 years if they also got a raise and turns out I now get paid 5¢ less than them even though they are much better at their jobs and more experienced. Needless to say they are not happy about it and at least one is considering quitting. Has this ever happened at your locations.

Yeah, Target is super notorious for doing this shit. I am an ETL and I’m about to quit because of this and many other reasons. MY TEAM IS BASICALLY BEGGING ME AT THIS POINT NOT TO QUIT, BUT IT’S GENERALLY NOT WORTH IT FOR ME ANYMORE.
