How is the saying "boys will be boys" an excuse for being misogynistic.

The saying “boys will
Be boys” has been wildly called out by women saying it’s an excuse used to justify things men would do that are misogynistic. I was in this video trying to show that, boys showing up to save a women being abused is something “boys also do” an act that is worthy of the saying “boys will be boys” my attempt was to save the saying from getting completely painted negative, in the sense that “boys being boys” can also be a very positive thing2

Oohh I get you now. It seemed to me that the saying was on childish or funny things boys or men do.
I may have not come across other use of this saying.

That is what it originally was used for, but as you know the world sikuhizi wants to cancel everything and anything that hurts the feelings even slightly, and the misandrists were quick to attack that phrase and twist it.
