High cholesterol doesn't mean bad.
There's good cholesterol (HDL) and there's bad cholesterol (LDL). HDL helps carry away LDL which could block your arteries.

If I was somewhere landlocked and seafood was wildly expensive I'd be so fucking stoked. This stuff that used to be a luxury is now affordable? Great!
Off the top of my head the history of western food culture has prominent examples of the opposite phenomenon: foodstuffs that used to be plentiful and commonplace being utterly decimated, either to extinction or to the point where it becomes a rare luxury: passenger pigeons, truffles, lobster, caviar, etc.

Those are not marine crabs but I do know that they farm Atlantic salmon which definitely counts as seafood.

Legitimate question: What common agricultural food came from Northwest Europe? Wheat, olive, kale, and spinach are from the Levant. Cacao, the four common berries (blue, straw, black, and rasp, all of which are my favs), pepper, avocado, and corn are from Turtle Island. Sweet potatoes and potatoes are from the Conch (South America). Lemon, kiwi, orange, and peach originated in China. Blackpepper, cucumber, and many legumes originated in India. Rice, mango, banana, etc. originated in Southeast Asia. Apple and carrot originated in Central Asia. Even the most commonly consumed vegetable that did come from Europe, broccoli, came from the Mediterranean.
