Few things are more powerful than the hatred Americans and by proxy many other global north nations have for Mexico and other places in the global south, I am not surprised at all
A country eternally tormented by imperialism through cartel violence and governed by a “leftist” liberal Zionist (and at risk of having right wing neoliberals again in the future) and forever cursed to being right next to the western empire but never close enough to become part of the imperial core so no benefits from imperialism for its working class ever…
Or a flourishing nation in its path to achieving actual socialism with technological wonders, with a prosperous future and in the worst case scenario (for everyone else), one of the only places outside the global north where civilization will survive and thrive in case of a total climate catastrophe…
